He's this year's Jannik Vestergaard. Which isn't an insult at all - it's nice to see a player you think is a lost cause suddenly turn a corner and become a useful member of the team, even if it takes a league drop to get there.

 

Get the feeling this is the point he kicks on and becomes a proper part of our team's spine. Imperative we hang onto JJ who brings out the best in him by allowing him to do the dirty work he excels at.

Joining in the Skipp love-in. Last few matches I’ve been to he’s been a standout. Agree with many here that him and James work well together. Beyond individual performances, it’s those pair ups that make the difference, players who can read and work with each other. Takes time and consistent starts. Hopefully Cif is starting to work it out now and a first choice team forming. Luke Thomas also looking good lately.

Best thing you can say is he's made that number 6 position his own now, it's his to lose. Fair play to the guy, couldn't have been easy for him but he's knuckled down and got on with it with no problems behind the scenes. It's not his fault his been lumbered with the high price tag. Well done Skippy, long may it continue.

He’s in his best role as that main deep lying midfielder. When Winks is in the side he takes that role off him. Hope he continues this form, looking every bit a top player at this level.

I have posted previously saying what does Skipp do. Last few games Skipp has been excellent and deserves all the praise coming his way. 
In the second half, received under pressure and switched to Ricardo. Then the joint block with Vestegaard. Brilliant performance last couple of games and great to see.

Credit to him something has clicked his two cameos at full back and Centre half were first rate and his last three midfield games he has excelled. Seems to be developing a real understanding with JJ. Hope it continues.
