Okazaki's game was a lot different to Ayew's and he played more as a support striker.

His work rate and movement helped create space for Vardy and co and as we were 4-4-2 then and he acted as a link between midfield and attack.

Ayew on the other hand offers very little to this team.

I think your last sentence is probably the key one here.

Palace probably love Ayew as they had a different player, a younger one who was able to put the effort in. A combo of his legs going, being played out of position and probably not giving a shit any more is probably why we saw a poor version of him.

In comparison with Okazaki, do you recon the clubs he joined after us love him as much as we do? Probably not.

Same. It really does baffle me. I just dont get it.

22 goals for them in 7 years.

They must be thick as shit or extremely easily pleased.

Said this so many times, its this! They like him because they hadn't won anything, he was about the best they had, our standards are completely different!

TBF we love Okazaki. 14 goals in 4 years (playing with better teammates too).

Okazaki was actually a good bloke and also won a PL. Cult hero!

Singing his name was always tongue in cheek surely? Definitely was on my part anyway.

If you don't laugh you'll cry type humour.

Maybe yeah. But he did score two late goals at saints and Ipswich … I think he’s  shit for the record

Are we retiring the 9 shirt after the weekend?  I mean you could argue it’s been in retirement all season I guess

Their Ayew might have been a bit better than our Ayew, but come on, he's always been crap.  Look at his goal scoring record, look at the six relegations, look at the horror that permeated these pages when we were first linked to Jordan f@#&ing Ayew!

I’m not claiming he’s been a world beater, but let’s not pretend we don’t know that some players can be crap at one club and alright elsewhere.

Yes, some players can fail at some clubs and shine at others, but that's kind of my point.  Jordan Ayew has been shit everywhere.

Not fair.

He’s excellent at getting relegated

I'll never forget when he signed for us, he looked overjoyed to be here.

It was always going to be a dream stint here for him.

There is a lot of overlooking of the fact that he really isn't a center-forward.

We got what we signed in terms of goal output. He's a wide-man who we've given the number nine and expected to do number nine things. The reality is we signed an aging wide-man whose best days are behind him and expected him to perform like a centerforward.

He's a sympton but not the cause.

That being said, I'm not going to be overwhelmed with sadness when he's no longer with us.

He does have some high ranking stats they are not all low, you have got to give him credit somewhere his highest stat is very impressive. And tops all players in the football leagues, falling over instead of using strenght to stay on your feet is  98.2%

Also the stat for while your on the floor, throwing your arms around like they are dead weights and stropping like a baby in a pram is just as impressive at 96.8%

Who honestly read to the end..........?

He definitely falls into the category of seems like a decent guy and its not his fault he's shit

He’s an absolute ball bag. I saw him ignoring children at the training ground during preseason. Loads of the guys, Wout Faes included, were being really nice and taking photos and signing stuff. Ayew and Mavididi were nobs.

I'm in agreement he's not a centre forward.

Quite frankly it was a disgrace he was given Vardy's 9 shirt at the beginning of the season, and not really fair on him. He simply isn't, and never has been that kind of player.
