Some people didn’t like Cooper because he was ex Forest thats a fact as I know a fair few that was a factor in not getting behind him. 
Ayew was a disaster signing but I don’t think he was brought in to be the main striker and take over from Vardy which is where he ended up trying to do a job. 
Why we didn’t go for a striker with pace for the last few years is one of the most annoying ridiculous parts of the last few years. Complete incompetence for us to be relying

on Ayew.

Yes—Jordan Ayew could still play in the Premier League, but the role he’d have is the key question.

He’s not really suited anymore to being a starting No. 9 for a team that needs goals every week. His scoring output has never been high, and at this stage of his career that’s unlikely to change. So if a club expected him to lead the line and carry attacking output, that would probably fall short.

Where he does still fit is as a squad player in the right system:

• Mid-to-lower table teams that value defensive structure and work rate
• Managers who want pressing and discipline from forwards
• Bench or rotation role, covering multiple positions across the front line

He still offers:

• Tactical intelligence
• Ball retention and fouls won
• Defensive contribution from the front
• Experience in the league

But the trade-off is limited creativity and inconsistent finishing.

So realistically, he’s at the stage where he’s a useful Premier League squad option, not a focal point. If a team signs him expecting reliability and effort, he can still do a job. If they expect goals and flair, they’ll be disappointed

Young Jordan should be thanked for what he's done for this club.

 

He knew that the number 9 shirt would prove to be a huge millstone round the neck of any player that put it on.  He knew how much pressure would be heaped on whoever adorned the number of the clubs greatest player.

 

So he stepped in, and performed.  Performed at such a level that nobody will feel pressured ever again to don the number 9!

I can’t remember who it was against, but when we had a counter and he was in the middle of the park, started running, stopped and passed it backwards. I remember the stadium booing. He never should’ve played again just for that. Any manager with a clue should have subbed him instantly.  His world famous holdup play was a myth I think was created by the same bots as the Hamza army.  

 

I’ve never hated a player as much as Ayew. 
 

Mavadidi is a young Ayew.  He will have a career, becoming wealthy but never delivering anything.
