I definitely get this point. 
I would just say at least now he will get game time. Just a huge shame has a dressing room with poor attitudes, low level of teammates, and huge disconnect from chairman, board, players to fans. 
he is a huge talent and we will do well to keep him for the season.

Surprised to see him miss out on the England U19 squad (Honourable mention for Page too) - thought he might get bumped up an age group or two with Dowman. Suppose it suits us and our best interests. Squad below for reference.

Very strange but wonder if it's because he's had quite a lot of first team exposure here so they're taking it easy with him?

 

In terms of his stock, it's higher than pretty much all those other forwards (maybe not Dowman), so it's not like he's going under the radar.

some of those flag toting bald headed numpties are going to have some real cognitive dissonance if many of this lot make it into the full national squad,.

Don't forget he's still playing up age groups at u17s. Better for him.to get minutes at 17s (and ultimately with us) than bit part up with u19s.

It's World Cup year for the U17s. Starts in November. Probably want him to play in that like they did with Sancho & Foden in 2017.

 

Which may mean we may be without him for a month or so...

Im so glad those around him (and maybe the lad himself) decided to stay with us. I was almost certain we would lose him towards the end of last season and he would be another Trey Nyoni, being lured by one of the big clubs.

 

He will give plenty of right backs sleepless nights over the next few years.

In Mav's defence, feel like we never attack on the left hand side. Even on the right, Fatawu is usually alone and has to do it more himself

Agreed. I think it piles pressure on him being a regular starter. I’d rather him grow organically and avoid the risk of breaking him.

Does he even have a pulse? Dude is the chillest player I have ever seen. Looks like he just paused COD on PS5, rolled out of bed and strolls on for an assist with a "meh"
