I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Leicester side as unfit as they were under Sousa. Great at creating a style of play perhaps but lacked the basics as a coach. 2

Usually takes around 40 points to stay up !! With the right manager absolutely. We have some good players and we just need the right manager to get the best out of them. We need recruitments, especially defensively and Fatawu is a huge loss, but I still feel we have enough to stay up, if we can improve the defence in Jan Edited 24 November 2024 by jayfox26
Free Falling Foxes Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 The City website wanted him gone too....
STUHILL Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Jumped ahead of other clubs, which could be vital in this current Manager market Suspect we will again be pushing for Potter, and may have even sounded him out, hence this quicker decision. If not, I suspect we will see Moyes here fairly quickly. Either way, I think we have someone lined up. 1
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Would rather it was RVN than Potter. 4

He took a well drilled squad that had made the play-offs in 09/10 trot about as if they'd taken up smoking 60 a day. I've never seen such a drop off in fitness, he was calamitous with us Edited 24 November 2024 by Miquel The Work Geordie 1

Fozdog Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Wow, what terrific news to wake up to. He was definitely not the right appointment in the first place. It was like watching a three wheeled Billykart career down the hill. You just knew eventually it was going to crash. At least the Foxes have done it earlier enough and there seems to be some good replacements available, so I think we will be okay.

Tanya Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Thank goodness. Horrific appointment by the club but at least he was sacked early. 2
Brooksy Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 The comments on the BBC article are insufferable. 2

I remember Gallagher saying how great pre season was as sousa didn't really value fitness, they they didn't have any gruelling training sessions. It was all about touch. Which was great until we started actually playing football and we all looked knackered after 30 mins....

Lost 3-0 that day and it was clear even then that Sousa wouldn’t be around for long.

Jumping early because they could see that other clubs in a similar position to us, would likely be sacking their managers in the near future and we should get the first pick. 1
