Nothing against Cooper,  but as many have already stated he was never the right appointment. I know we had slim pickings given out unknown financial situation but I think we could have gone other routes and still been better off.

Wish him well wherever he lands next.

Let's hope we make the right appointment now and fight for points not bend over.

Usually a shite source but I still hope it is true lol

The senior executives spoke to the players shortly after the full-time whistle at the King Power Stadium to assess the mood of the changing room.

Sources have told Football Insider that the players were very critical of Cooper’s tactics and set-up against the team overseen by their former manager Enzo Maresca.

One senior star, who was in the starting XI against Chelsea, is believed to have let it be known to the owners that the manager’s tactics were a “f***** disgrace”.

That article is ridiculously contrived in the wake of the sacking. It has nothing but conjecture without anything to substantiate the claims that players were involved.

Borderline libel on that article if the club want to pursue it

Its absurd. Where is Cooper when this inquest is going on.

Probably still stood on the touchline confused why his master plan of having zero defence on one side of the pitch isn't working

It was a very bad plan… especially when you have Faes bombing forward into midfield whilst we’re trying to defend too!

To be honest if it's true whoever said was right the tactics were a f****** disgrace and have been all season.

No, he said he'd like to manage a club that was in the bottom half of the Premier league.  Some have taken that to mean anybody, but I think he was being clever with it and specifically hinting at a particular club that at the time was in the bottom half. Later he expanded on it  saying he wouldn't take on a club fighting for survival. Said its too tough a job.

Absolutely relieved he's gone but now the dust has settled so to speak, it really makes you wonder how the f*** he got the job in the first place. Not only had we just appointed the beloved ex Forest manager, but his style of play was non existent to the one the lads did so well with last season... On what planet was that ever going to bring us all together for a relegation scrap...

Us fans obviously have our own opinions based on our footballing knowledge, but frighteningly Jon Rudkin is paid very well to make sensible decisions.. this appointment for me is on par with the Rodgers debacle, ridiculous.
