At least it will give the new manager a chance in the January transfer window, hopefully

Yes will be able to assess the squad a winger and left-back a priority.

Best for all concerned.  Clearly way out of his depth and had lost the players.

Some credit to the club here as well, whilst he should never have been appointed at least they've pulled the trigger in good time.

Hope they've got someone lined up that will bring us some continuity of style (pre-Cooper) to prove that we do have a strategic vision of where we are going as a club.

Please not some tired old chugger like Moyes.

Disagree. We are at the stage where we need somebody like Moyes to stabilise us for a couple of years before we hopefully move forward.

As much as I wasn't sold on his style of play and the seeming "step down" in coaching ability, why now?

We've just had an international break and where the new coach could have bedded in and got some training sessions done. Why not get rid at the start of that?

I do feel sorry for the guy. Gave it a go but ultimately didn’t appear to have won over the players or fans so was always going to be an uphill task for him.

Surely we could attract Moyes, at least in a short term deal until the end of the season.

Second best day of my life, after winning the title….. now, get the next one right.

They must have reached an agreement with someone given the ridiculous timing.

Fingers crossed that they have a young, progressive replacement lined up already - if they spend the next few weeks looking it will only underline the incompetence of the board. Anyway, great news at least - Cooper was awful.

The timing - after an international break, in the wake of a game we weren't expected to get anything from, and not in the bottom 3 - does suggest we've a replacement very much on board, doesn't it?

Moyes or Potter I would think.

You’d hope the reason is simple, the decision was made already and we’ve been working on something in the background. But this is Leicester…

Shocked really but it was clear it wasn't really working nor likely to either.

Absolutely key the next appointment is right.  Will they go for proven experience or gamble on someone a bit more dynamic but relatively unproven. Not an easy decision.  Whoever it is must quickly get the player's respect and sort out the defence. At least make us hard to beat.

Whoever they appoint will need some money to reinforce the squad in January.

Change was needed, can’t say I’ve any faith in the boards ability to find a good replacement but a half chance of lucking into good is better than continuing with shite
