UniFox21 Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Can't believe this wasn't rumoured or anything

Some credit to the club here as well, whilst he should never have been appointed at least they've pulled the trigger in good time. Hope they've got someone lined up that will bring us some continuity of style (pre-Cooper) to prove that we do have a strategic vision of where we are going as a club. Please not some tired old chugger like Moyes. Disagree. We are at the stage where we need somebody like Moyes to stabilise us for a couple of years before we hopefully move forward.
Popular Post Babylon Posted 24 November 2024 Popular Post Posted 24 November 2024 Always say 10-12 games is a good indication of where things are going. Fair play to the club for at least trying to give him a chance, but also not letting it drag on and being fairly proactive. It’s never easy to make these decisions and to strike a balance, but I think they have done here. 30
ts_1010 Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 As much as I wasn't sold on his style of play and the seeming "step down" in coaching ability, why now? We've just had an international break and where the new coach could have bedded in and got some training sessions done. Why not get rid at the start of that?
Libertine Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Wow! Genuinely surprised. Wise to do it before January. 1
Blue-fox Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 I do feel sorry for the guy. Gave it a go but ultimately didn’t appear to have won over the players or fans so was always going to be an uphill task for him. Surely we could attract Moyes, at least in a short term deal until the end of the season.
Pliskin Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Second best day of my life, after winning the title….. now, get the next one right. They must have reached an agreement with someone given the ridiculous timing.
Popular Post Gazza3 Posted 24 November 2024 Popular Post Posted 24 November 2024 Gutted just spent all morning on my cooper out banner 12
Lookatthebluesky Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Fingers crossed that they have a young, progressive replacement lined up already - if they spend the next few weeks looking it will only underline the incompetence of the board. Anyway, great news at least - Cooper was awful. 2
Popular Post StriderHiryu Posted 24 November 2024 Popular Post Posted 24 November 2024 Maresca proving he was an amazing manager once again! Got the orc the boot! 2 6
foxile5 Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 The timing - after an international break, in the wake of a game we weren't expected to get anything from, and not in the bottom 3 - does suggest we've a replacement very much on board, doesn't it? Moyes or Potter I would think. 2
Pinfox Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 What a relief l! It’s like bursting to the toilet on a long journey.. and when you go .. that’s how it feels! 1

Dames Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Potter must be making some positive noises for this to happen. 1
reynard Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Shocked really but it was clear it wasn't really working nor likely to either. Absolutely key the next appointment is right. Will they go for proven experience or gamble on someone a bit more dynamic but relatively unproven. Not an easy decision. Whoever it is must quickly get the player's respect and sort out the defence. At least make us hard to beat. Whoever they appoint will need some money to reinforce the squad in January. 1
LCFCJoe96 Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Change was needed, can’t say I’ve any faith in the boards ability to find a good replacement but a half chance of lucking into good is better than continuing with shite 1
Nolucklcfc Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Why didn’t they do it during the break though? Wasted two weeks.
Mendi Posted 24 November 2024 Posted 24 November 2024 Wrong man for the job. He has sadly paid the price.
