After the Fulham defeat, Van Nistelrooy clashed with Buonanotte over his performance as a substitute but the most alarming row was with defender Caleb Okoli, who did not play at all.

It is understood that Van Nistelrooy turned on Okoli, a £13 million summer signing from Atalanta, over his choice of football boots and insisted they made him frequently slip over.

Okoli was so stunned by the confrontation that he demanded a meeting with Rudkin and now appears certain to leave before the window closes.

What a read, so depressing. You can tell Percy is annoyed by the secrecy at the club as well.

Other things that stood out for me are Ward asked to be taken off at halftime vs. Wolves, RVN told fringe players asking why they didn’t play vs. QPR that the club doesn’t hand out Christmas presents and we are focusing on a winger on loan (but may be able to use the Cannon money as well). It’s an utter mess, although like RVN attempting to introduce discipline at the club.

Hahahaaa I had a feeling there was a Percy bombshell in the offing. If he's having a pop at Bounanotte and Okoli then I wonder what he made of Jordan Ayew in the closing minutes vs Palace and immediately afterwards, not to mention he's a fine one for falling over with the faintest of touches.

A 2nd manager on the spin that came with a reputation for developing young players and either doesn't pick them or falls out with them. Worrying.

I really hope Ruud knows what he's doing here but it seems like we're done.

Would be amazed if he's our manager next week

So now Percy has spoken, would seem the club is in absolute disarray, manager on the brink and a group of players who when the going gets tough run off telling tales and crying to the higher ups. Recipe for disaster, starting to loath this bunch as much as the last lot who managed to take us down 😡

Wow. There's a lot to unpick there.

Percy gets it:

Average players have earned lucrative contracts and become almost impossible to move on. One player who was not a regular starter saw his salary rise to £100,000 a week from around £70,000, following promotion from the Championship.

Players appear comfortable and unchallenged, with some allegedly having a direct line to Srivaddhanaprabha. This is a club which allows at least two first-team players to commute every day from over 90 miles away.

Daka the first one

Vardy and Coady the second

I'll start the guesses...

£70,000 to £100,000 player: Coady? Justin? Daka? Soumare?

90 mile commuters: Coady? Winks?

This is pretty damning for Van Nistelrooy. Smacks of a man in completely disarray when you start to have a go at players that aren’t even playing…

Doesn’t know who to blame, so just goes after random players, and picks a reason out of thin air.

Yeesh.

Rafa incoming, we need an experienced head, if the players don't respect Rafa, then they can do one.

Rafa? Some of the stories I’ve heard about his man management skills would cause a blood bath.

Convinced myself as writing this that it should happen.

Bit of both here, maybe it’s the players not fans that are the entitled ones.

Too much money, doesn’t actually matter to them enough.

Also the manager is losing the plot so it seems. Or can’t install what he wants due to player attitudes.

He’s too much of a bastard isn’t he, we don’t have enough bastards in the team; but you can’t really have one managing us if the players are just going to be wet wipes

Wasn't Vestergaard on £70k a week before his contract expired. Be just us to resign him on a higher wage

You pick your battles don’t you, and plenty of other battles to be picked instead of with someone who didn’t plays boots lol.

This will have come from the soft players right? So maybe take it all with a pinch of salt lol

Footballers slipping over because of their boots is annoying as shit though.

Wonder who's let this slip, I imagine this stuff happens every weekend in changing rooms up and down the country
