I said a few weeks ago that there are reasons for keeping him. The big one for me is the fact he's evaluated the squad and will challenge the 'boys club' mentality.

It's been clear this season we've not had the quality to compete. I'd probably keep him, and let him build. He'll be able to attract a better calibre of player and working with the younger players who respect him would be good.

I do think he'll walk though.

If there is no relegation clause, he doesn’t walk.

The only way he stays is if there is a gigantic reset and he gets his own team behind him. As you say, clearing out the boys mentality and focusing on the next generation.

I have had similar thoughts too, especially given he has started to create a bomb squad that will get rid of a few who typify the honking culture and mentality that has allowed to fester this season.

I even have a degree of sympathy for him given how he had so little backing in the January transfer window, Top and Rudkin really threw him under the bus, would he be very different with a chance to shape and rebuild the squad with his players and a full pre season.

But I just can’t get my head past some of the abject performances and the lack of doing the absolute basics and then what has appeared a token nod towards the academy players, if he had gone full on and it really felt like he was blooding the youngsters for next season by giving them decent chances and game time then I would be prepared to consider giving him a chance next season but I think too much water has gone under the bridge and the relationship has already soured beyond repair.

Nailed it here.

Theres some much better options in the Championship such as Rohl or Muslic. RVN has not shown he has what is needed.

Wouldn’t be shocked to see a story in tomorrows media saying he will be gone and more links to potential replacements especially now the EFL season is done.

Rohl, Cifuentes, Muslic and even Carrick all very realistic targets.

Rohl Muslic out of this list!

Like I said, he needs 4 points to match Coopers record.

Cooper 10 points. Saints 3, Spurs 1, Everton 1, Palace 1, Ipswich 1,  B'Mouth 3, Forest 0.

Ruud currently 6 v Saints 3, Spurs 3, Everton 0, Palace 0, Ipswich, Bournemouth and Forest pending.

The fact that this is one of the worst seasons in our history and yet we’ve STILL managed to take 4 points off Spurs (and winning away there) is deeply ****ing funny.

I hope your right ronnup - he has very little tactical knowledge and I would like someone with a bit of passion……Dyche for me but I would imagine not a Top type of choice in manager

I really dont want Dyche , but I understand why people would. I cant bare to see him make Mavdidi Fatawu Monga amd Evans be advanced full backs for a year

Nah, this bloke’s a meme at this point. His reputation is shot. Yes, the squad is dog bob, but he’ll go down as one of the Premier League’s worst ever managers.

Believe it or not, as a club we will still be able to attract - but that’s in spite of Van Nistelrooy, not because of him.

Zhao got very nervy in his last couple of frames against Ronnie before he got over the line. I think that could effect him big time if he starts to get close to it. The weight of winning it at such an early age and the expectations of his entire country on him might just be too much for him against the experience of Williams. Who won't be fazed and go away easily either.

I'll say Williams to win it by a couple or three frames.

Not sure you’re on the right thread, but I’d probably take Zhao Xintong over RvN as manager at this point

I agree with this, a reset and part of a project if he stays.

For him to work here, which would mean a major improvement in his own abilities, youd have to completely restructure the squad

I think that has been the problem this season, Maresca reshaped the squad for a certain style, and when he left we brought in a manager who plays a completely different style. What ever we do we need to be clear how leicester want to play football and stick to that approach, not change with every new manager.

There are no reasons for him to stay other then the club cant afford to sack him. The club can hire any new manager who has the philosophy of promoting youth. It doesnt mean we have to keep that useless twat

-Worst run in the clubs history

-Zero ability to change a system or team

-Says he’ll do one thing but then does the other

-No championship experience/knowledge

-A completely unlikeable cvnt

Get him gone now

Yes but we hammered Southampton. Just saying.

How does the club keep Any member of staff in a job that they have  failed in so spectacularly

And not send the wrong message to all the staff at the club in the process

How does the club justify accepting failure like it doesn't matter

Standards are rock bottom
