Fairly sure most managers will be on their hollibobs post season and the talking will be done when they get back. I'm not worried by the silence..

Grim.

I'm mentally preparing myself to read posts that say pretty much same thing every day for the rest of June.

It's bound to happen. I got confused and thought the financial year was end of May instead of June which I read after posting - this has got to be the only thing we can hang our hats on. I'm not sure though.

You don't wait for someone to have a holiday before sacking them.

It's either we are keeping him on or we are waiting for the 'best' financial date to do it on. If we do sack him in July it's really poor preparation for the new season.

Don't you understand the concept of a potential clause which would reduce his settlement, potentially by a cpl of million. Its worth hanging on of that's the case?

We all agree the club is in a mess, but it would be financial negligence to do this just so a few fans aren't worried about the next manager. I understand the club's track record of faffing about is abysmal but this time it's warranted.

We aren't going to make a statement on RvN to say he will be sacked in a couple of weeks so there isn't ''silence'' it's not how it works.

Hope he is gone by Sunday night this week. Need to move on as quickly as possible now. His lingering presence will continue the rot around the club short term.

His lingering presence back in the Netherlands whilst everyone is on their holiday, you mean.

If it get's to Monday and he isn't gone, what's next? Air raid sirens and the final supper I guess

Just curious but has there ever been a case of a club going into the new season with no manager at the helm? This scenario gives me the chills!

I do, hence the below.

There is an argument that waiting an extra 6/7 weeks puts us in a worse position in terms of preparation for the season ahead, but you can't put a number on that. And in any case you at least hope that things with potential replacements and signings are going on in the background.

There is a part of me that doubts whether this is what we are actually doing though.

Exactly - I agree

It would absolutely sum us up if we sit on our hands, sack him the day we 'officially' join the EFL, then get shafted with an embargo the day after that prevents us bringing someone in. lol

Also - I don't hate the fact we're waiting around. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely not a tactic - the people in charge are just clueless, but...

We hired Cooper because we thought we were getting a points deduction. He was the cheap option and we were writing off the season.

If there's even a slither of a possibility that we find out our fate before pre-season, we should be leaving it til the last second to decide how much money we want to spend on a) sacking Ruud and b) potentially paying compensation.

Should or shouldn't?

The biggest issue with Brendan was him trying to expand his power base / influence beyond coaching / Top agreeing to bring in Congerton.

We shouldn’t never have moved from likes of Walsh and Macia.

One of the main appeals of coming to Leicester would have been when Rodgers met Rudkin and Top, and realised he could pretty much rule over everything because of their lack of knowledge.

Good , isn’t it - what a  sh*t show from our board - all of this could have been avoid with half decent DoF and board!

They've let the club drift and hoped that things will fall in place, without a plan. What total fu@k up this club as become☹️

It's nothing to do with a clause.

Why would anyone sign a contract that said. If we sack you in may you get 5m (example) but after June 16th you get 2m.

It's purely down to psr if and when we do sack him.

We don't want a 1.5 to 3m payment on this year's figures. July the first it goes on next year's figures.

It's not great for next season and makes us look a joke. But it's purely down to psr and the position the club has put itself in.

I'd like to think we've lined up the next man and he understands the position we are in. We've truthfully told him what he has to spend and he's already working on what he wants with the club.

RvN not being told don't mean nothings happening away from him.

Not you but not sure why so many are getting so wound up. Yes the club has fvcked it all up. But hopefully they've realised and taking steps to put us back on track. If we are close to being the wrong side of the line again why risk sacking him and that payment now.

As long as things are being worked on in the background RvN still being here is not an issue. Players are on holiday so we can only talk to agent's ATM. So very little will happen in the window at the level we are looking at.

That is exactly what clauses do, hence why our players now have relegation clauses that reduce their wages by a fixed %. Likewise a manager will except that if the club is relegated his wage and pay off reduces accordingly. Many termination clauses will be performance linked so if you drop or finish outside European qualification or relegated or even position linked the pay off is adjusted accordingly.

Because £2m is better than £0. Of course there are contracts with inferior relegation clauses, could be a combination of that and/or psr. None of us know really.
