Things taking time aren’t a new thing. The year we went to league 1 it was 20 days afterwards until we sack Holloway. Then just under a month until we appointed NP.

Not saying it’s right how long things are taking, but I’d be very surprised if we had completely neglected any decisions. I just think it’ll be time before we hear.

The last time we made a summer managerial change before 8 June was Martin Allen in 2007, and before that it was Brian Little in 1991. The large majority of our summer appointments have come after today‘s date. So the fact that we haven’t appointed anybody yet this summer is very much business as usual for us.

Edited to add: according to ChatGPT, the median date for summer managerial appointments across all English clubs is 1 July.

This really isn’t an average example of a season though is it?

We were relegated 6+ weeks ago. It’s not that we flirted with relegation or underperformed slightly and considered we need an improvement.

For context; Big Ange had two semi finals, won a cup final, celebrated for a fortnight and got sacked in the time since our inevitable relegation was mathematically confirmed. I’d also suspect Spurs will have a new manager before we hear anything from the muppets that run our club.

But they aren’t in the financial mess we are.

Spurs are likely less constrained by financial considerations than we are, so you’re probably right.

No, they’re not, because they’re not run by a child and a PE teacher.

The cause of a demise, our financial woes, our lack of action in any area of the club, is down to the lack of leadership. Like him or loath him Levy at least drives his club forward

Just wonder why so many Spurs fans loath him. They seem of the opinion that their club isn't moving forward and makes poor managerial decisions. Sounds familiar? I will grant you they are run more professionally than our set up, but that wouldn't be difficult

Yeah it seems odd that they think that… although sacking Ange seems bizarre! Maybe too much Board involvement, where we suffer the opposite problem.

Fine margins at the top end I guess…. A new stadium, European trophy, consistent top 8 finishes, profitability aren’t enough …. They should try being above them on the pitch for 5+ years and then successive premier league relegations…. They’d quickly realise how well they’re run

History looks favourably on this man.

Yup. Had the longest run in Premier League history of not scoring and got a team relegated. Also, our longest run without a win at home, I think as well.

Yup, he'll be remembered on the same lines as Pep and Klopp.

Only saving grace was his push to bring the youth through and called out players.

If anything history looks more favourably on Cooper than this guy. Yes he questioned standards - but in the end, all he really did, was yap and yap - whilst fixing nothing on the pitch.

If it wasn't for Cooper we would probably have gone down as the worst ever team in the history of the Premier League.

Absolutely no evidence to back that up. RVN was an embarrassment at this club. Great player, terrible manager.
