I really hope he does well, and expectations, let’s face it, will be reasonably low at this club considering the trophies we’ve won in the last decade.

 

But we’ve had far too many managers who don’t realise the sport exists as entertainment for local people. If we’re committed to trying to score goals (which is the aim after all, surely) then people will be forgiving of mistakes. It’s not that much to ask.

He's going to need a couple of Windows to turn the squad around. Get rid of the players surplus to requirements ideally a few in January.

 

I'm confident he'll deliver given the time unlike Cooper.

Mate this is decent. I hate to do what the older boys do to me but I went stoke away when Rab Douglas was in goal! This is great compared to the shit we had! Elvis giz a song!!

I gave Cooper 3 pre season games before I started the out topic :ph34r:

 

It was clearly not going to work then.

I agree, but I remember seeing post like this in the summer, just before the season started.

 

That we can't blame Cooper, we'd need to turn on the board.

 

Now, Cooper, rightly needed to go, but the knives were twisted rather quickly and there was little heat on the board bypassing them and straight blame on Cooper.

 

For there then to be reports that the board weren't convinced on the appointment is even more astounding.

I think the fans will really warm to Ruud and from what I’ve seen he likes to build a good relationship with fans and is very passionate etc. Cooper didn’t have that here, and it will hopefully lead to better atmospheres at the KP which can only be beneficial for us.

I understand what you’re saying, but I do think the looming points deduction and the state we were in with psr meant no-one but cooper would take it. I don’t think we wanted him, and once psr situation was resolved we were looking for the first hint of someone we had wanted being interested so we could get rid.
