Happy with the change in formation. Don't see an alternative with Fatawu out. Still a Championship looking line up but the only one I'm surprised about is Thomas- think Kristiansen has been one of our better players this year

One of Daka, Mavididi or Bilal should be in over Ayew. We are playing Brentford and have two attacking players.

Cooper and his team seem somehow to select absolute honking lineups. Not sure how they do it. That team would take proper planning to be so bad. I could use a random team selector from all players available and it would probably be stronger.

If you are playing wing backs, they've got to have some pace and carry an attacking threat to carry it off. If you just play defensive full backs you get pinned in and can't get out of your half. They have to push forward or you have no attacking width whatsoever. Based on what we've got available for this,, Thomas would be about last of the list who could pull it off. Kristiansen would be more attacking than Thomas, and I'd rather take a punt on McAteer or even BdCR who's played wingback in the past. Hope I'm wrong, but can't see this lineup working for that formation.

Thomas looks absolutely petrified whenever he receives the ball, Ndidi and Soumare together is just asking to be run through time and again by Brentford’s midfield and there’ll be at least 1 epic cock up by each of Coady, JJ and Sideshow Bob. Vardy will be completely ineffective and Facundo will be left frustrated and uninvolved. Just so shite. Can almost write the match report now.
