This game was always likely to be a punt without our three best midfielders.  Shame, would have been nice to keep momentum going, still never say never.....

It's gonna irk me beyond full time that Guimaraes should be off. Disgusting piece of officiating to not only not book him for the dive, but the fact he didn't get sent off anyway for the Mavididi challenge. Regardless of the result those are the kinds of decisions that do have bearings on the game, especially that early.

Yes possibly, but we just dont have the options on the Bench.  In midfiled he might surprise a few people with less pressure on him.

It would be like asking Harold Shipman to look after your grandma.

Choudhry the worst for me. Vestergaard and Mads have done alright.

Mads has noot taken a single player on or made a single worthwhile pass, he hangs around hoping the ball won`t arrive and has not made a single positive run forwards

Are we watching the same game ?

tbf remember when some on here said that in regards the leicester team who stayed up then won the premier:whistle:

That squad had loads more about it imo. I'm not even really criticising them as I expected nothing today but it'd be disingenuous to claim we should be doing any better

No excuse for our defending on their goal. I was screaming that they had three on one if they went short, as happened from the previous corner on the other flank.

Our goal kicks are creating opposition chances every time. We invite the challenge, get pressed, jab it blindly forward to an onrushing attacker. Every time.

The wingers are doing a poor job of protecting their FBs, neither of which is coping with the pressure (as per). McAteer has been better than Mavididi but hasn't come close to justifying his selection over Facundo. Hamza is always utterly panicked on the ball, and unable to see the danger when he's off it. A dire performance from him; lacklustre at a time when you'd hope he'd be champing at the bit to show his worth.

We deserve to be more than one down. I had low expectations, but so far we haven't come close to meeting them. We've been toothless and haven't competed. The only positives are the narrow margins, and the knowledge that we'll have more winnable games with a fuller squad available.

Could understand if we were in Southampton's position, but we're not.

What have I said that isn't true? Other than the players I've mentioned who's performing well for us?
