Think it's quite alarming that we conceded 4 and could have been 8, and our best outfield player was probably our centre half in Vestergaard.

Midfield was an absolute disgrace, no tracking of runs, no interceptions, no tackling. Then we did have it no hint of trying to do anything progressive, Hamza has never been a Prem player never thought I would say the day thank god Soumare is back next week.

Full backs pair of competition winners, can't defend for toffee, always out of position and offer nothing the other way, a truly terrible le combination.

Let's not lie to ourselves here, that was as bad if not worse than anything Cooper served up. The squad is dog turd, without additions in Jan (not the Skipp kind) we are doomed to go down, can't continually nick points and games all season, that luck will run out soon enough, we could conceivably on the same amount of points Southampton are.

There is a massive difference between us and the Saudis, it's difficult with a fully fit squad but we have a lot of injuries. We need to beat the teams around us and sneak the odd other point here and there at home, that's all we can hope for.

Bit unfair to single him out. What about the other fcukwits on the pitch.

I said he wasn't the cause of the 4 nil hammering but I'm concerned the amount of football he is being given, he's not at the level.

I like his work rate and endeavour but it's not enough right now.

Skipp and Hamza today were an absolute disgrace. Not a single tackle between them in the first hour.

Hands up all those that actually thought we'd get something out of Newcastle before the game. Shit happens. Hopefully everyone will chill out by the time Wolves turn up on Sunday.

Not if we play the side that started against Newcastle

It shouldn't be a surprise though the amount of chances we concede and shots we have to face, as @Fox92 said, a heavy defeat was coming.

Isn’t Stolarzyk still injured, or returning from injury? Agree that Iversen is better in my opinion

What about the 16 year old kid from Weymouth?

You’re right that’s all we can hope for and that’s what still absolutely boils my blood. This ****ing board did this.

Shocking result. We got trashed sadly today. Tough to take.

I agree with lots of peeps.

Worst performance of the season.  Worse anything Coops would do or has done.

Ruud has a challenge, I did not see a never say die attitude.  Newcastle wanted it more, more energy etc, that is sad, new manager needs that in his team and it did not happen.

Not excusing the performance… but we are decimated by injuries and suspensions. The outcome was likely to be the same if Cooper was still in post. Don’t disagree with your assessment of Hamza and Skipp

Not really alarming is it, considering that our starting and backup CM were missing…. We could never get control of the game at all, and Newcastle are a good team.

Dust down, regroup and go again.

Was always coming. Best three midfielders we have were all out, depth after that is vacant.

Beat Wolves and lose the next three.  17 points from 20 games we will be more than still in the race and have the transfer window to use.

Personally we're in a better position than I thought we would be even if it is still crap.

Not good enough from Glover, he’s got January then if sack him off

Wasn’t expecting much with the dearth of options in midfield, but to say they were abject would be complimentary to them. Newcastle had an easy afternoon, could have had more if they wanted it. Ward goes in goal and concedes twice in 5 minutes. He shouldn’t even be getting on the bench. We can’t keep allowing so many shots, otherwise more score lines like this will start piling up. If he didn’t realise how poor the squad was before today, he does now.

January will be the most important transfer window we will have for the next few years. Get it right we could get our self safe. Get it wrong we are stuck with Danny ward in goal in the championship and probably points deduction and we won’t  be recovering from that

Fortunately Ward is out of contract this summer.

We really need to cut him loose now and go with our other two reserves.

p.s. and give the #1 to Mads.
