I said he wasn't the cause of the 4 nil hammering but I'm concerned the amount of football he is being given, he's not at the level.

I like his work rate and endeavour but it's not enough right now.

Skipp and Hamza today were an absolute disgrace. Not a single tackle between them in the first hour.

I really cannot feckkn stand Choudhury . I’ll be delighted when we sack him off

End of first half, when we were moving it around nicely, we looked alright, albeit with no end product.

The start of the second half was shocking. Ward should be paid off and released.

No bite to the team at all. RVN has a mountain to climb to get the best out of them. I really hope Rudders can pull a miracle out of his arse in January.

This game shows where we are at. Level of squad is poor. Probably enough to stay up, but not compete against superior teams like Newcastle were today, especially with key players out. Shows how far we've dropped. Players tried their best mostly, but just not good enough.

Ruud has made a good start but now it's time to earn his stripes and his money. Hopefully we can bring some players in January.

Don't know why we've spent £25m on Skipp. He's better than he shown today, that it shows how we've misspent and over paid for average players in recent history.

shame cartwright didn’t get any minutes, surely couldn’t have done any worse than hamza/skipp

He was never going to play in any situation, waste of a space that should have gone to Alves Monga or Evans. Potential over physicality for me.

Three completely different players.

We needed a defensive midfielder on the bench.

Pile of wanky toss.

Wathicng JJ is like watching someone slowly drown, gone from promising to really good player, to decent, to limited to shitfest.

Skipp is just a passenger and I don't think he's that bad but it grates in me we paid Spuds so much money for him after selling them Madderz cheap.

Not sure where Soumare was, but its hilarious I think he would have improved us

Danny Ward - a confession.. Early on in the relegation season I thought he didn't look too bad. Then it became clear he wasn't great and each appearance he looked worse.

Now I'm convinced there was some kind of Brenda backhander for buying him

From the outside Iversen is clearly better but managers keep ignoring him. Must be something he does in training.

I wonder if the club are dictating that he is not selected due to his contract situation it’s absolutely baffling that Ward keeps

getting the nod ahead of him.

Massive issue for me is today we are reliant on squad players like Ward, Hamza,, Thonas et al players who were deemed surplus to requirements pretty much 2 seasons ago, barely featured last season in the championship and yet have hung around stinking the place out, our inability to shift the deadwood in our squad is criminal as players like these three are a drain on our finances and prevent us from what is a much needed fresh impetus of better bench and squad options.

None of those 3 should be near the matchday squad in the championship and yet all 3 were involved in our premier league squad today and 2 ended up playing. That speaks volumes as to the mismanagement of our squad.

Thst was utterly vile. Our away performances and results in the last month or so have been an absolute disgrace.

Big job to make us competitive with the unavailability we currently have but that was shocking.

How on earth Kasey McAteer is getting this much football is a mystery. Weren't the cause of today's debacle but it's alarming me.

I just don't get it. We know the squad is shit but it's not that shit that it merits picking a player to start that within 3 years will be playing National League, whilst working a part time job at Toolstation.

And on a separate note please say there is a chance that Hamza will get a custodial at some point for his multiple drink driving offences.  Please.

And finally we paid how much for Skipp. Just wow.

Just goes to show what a poor, poor squad we have.

Our on Paper starting 11 is fine and good enough, beyond that the drop off in quality goes to bottom half quality championship players.

Throw in 3 or 4 injuries/suspensions/ illness and no manager could get us competing. For this reason I’m going to hold off judgement on RVN until after Jan. He clearly has a goal of being a counter attacking team and he wants raw pace out wide and for that he has Kasey Macateer as the option. No disrespect to him but he isn’t PL quality at all. He’s scared when he gets the ball.

As frustrating as today is don’t think anybody gets much with what we had available today. Although, conceding 31 shots in 2 out 4 games is just not sustainable at all whatever squad you inherit so that needs addressing.

Problem is by the end of Jan we could be in serious, serious trouble. With Gary O’neil likely off they’ll probably have a bounce next week, Ipswich look competitive and a danger to pick up points quite often and Crystal palace will be fine in my opinion.

we simply have to win next week as the next two will inevitably be losses and that’s half a season gone and if we are on 14 points after half a season we deserve to be in the bottom 3.

If we are doing that, there was a lot of noise that Hermansen (arguably his best) was an Enzo signing. His performance last time we needed a big Jan in the PL was trash. He has it in him to pull a rabbit out the hat though, Facundo, Bilal and Fatawu shows that. I’m not writing him off but it’s a majorly important window for him. He hasn’t had a Macia/Walsh window yet at this level.

For me it was not the squad but the application of the team.  Man for man we did not give 100%.  So many players were shocking in not only at giving there own but how they applied themselves.

Take the 3 starting midfielders out of the starting 11 of any of the teams at this level and they will struggle. Then add your best attacking threat and the GK, that’s five players who could’ve started today.

Skipp’s fee was criticised at the time and today shows why. He is a supporting act type player - no way a leader in the middle which is what was expected of him. We stay up or go down regardless of Skipp being here.

Dust off. Hope Mads, Ndidi and Soumare return next week and go up against Wolves and what is likely to be their new manager bounce. Home is where you stay up.

I don't know either way, neither do you.

i dont but look at Ayew, that sort of signing for a 32yr old and 5mil for him too

that one is totally left field for us, and something the club hasnt done in yrs until this summer

thats why i do think some were maybe suggested by Cooper

Lovely Ruud selects a team that evil Cooper would be totally lambasted for but thats ok cos we like Ruud.

We are hammered 4-0 the worst result of the season but its down to the players or Rudkin or the tea lady but not lovely Ruud cos we like Ruud.

Maybe just maybe the squad is simply pants and no manager no matter how much we like their looks and glamorous career could keep this lot up.

Sorry to say the double standards from the haters turned lovers on here is simply breathtaking.

So, many hated Cooper, but love RvN and are pleased to see the change.

They're chalk and cheese.

How is that double standards or haters turning to lovers?

What are your views on Cooper? Would you rather he'd stayed?
