Sarath Ratanavadi - richest individual in Thailand.  Rumours obtained from Bentleys Roof.  He is worth about £9Billion but hardly means we’re going to improve and invest due to PSR.

True that the PSR rules would not allow his personal wealth to help in that way but hopefully a fresh attitude towards sorting out the structure of the club, addressing the required changes of personnel in the DOF and Managerial roles, a new drive to push on with the ground and broader area expansion (even if this was a KP project to have an arena etc). A different decision maker because the current decisions have got us to where we are today. Yes, who knows, he may be even worse but at the moment we are driving fast towards a cliff edge and no-one at the club seems bothered about changing direction.

We maybe had different fans back then, now we'd moan about the breakfast not being hot enough, t-shirt was itchy and a £5 voucher isn't enough to get food And a drink.😂 🗣coconut rolls 😤

Yeah, because it is not a substitute for the club being well run (as those who have a club realise is the case). It’s a nice extra, and when the fans feel appreciated anyway, it’s a nice touch.

When the club has shown their contempt for supporters in other ways, through lack of communication and running the football operations into the ground, those with their heads screwed on can see straight through it being a cheap, meaningless gesture to keep the pressure off them.

They are so lucky that we have the most passive and passionless fan base going, who they have warped into following them like lemmings off a cliff.

I think in the absence of ANY communication from the club and with the current unhappiness level of most on here (probably rightly so) and various speculative sources,  many look to fill that communication void, totally understandable.  Our current reality means we are looking for hope, and based on the last 3 years and no current communication from a longstanding ownership and leadership group with recent embarrassing failure and a group of unmotivated players AND what looks to be an incapable manager.

It just amplifies our disappointment and anger.

King Power did an amazing job for 8-10 years, beyond all expectations, but have done a truly terrible job since the Forest FA Cup exit.

We have visibility of some of it, our 2 relegations, BUT we don't have visibility of how they walked into PSR issues, which is causing so much of the problems now.

Pretty much their strategical/managerial decision making since the start of the 22/23 if not before has been in my view (and probably many of you an unmitigated disaster)

Do I want them out, NO, do I want change, YES.  They can no longer manage this club to even a low degree of success with this leadership team.

But we have to be careful what we wish for IF they go, look at others, its probably 50/50 success/failure.

Either Rudkin has to go OR they find another "Football Expert", younger probably who they give real responsibility and accountability to alongside or over him, to make us more agile, to make better buying/selling/contractual/managerial appointing decisions, with a drive by all of them to 1) get us back to the top flight end of next season ideally 2) do everything we can to stay there 3) get a top flight platform to kick on in the next 3-5 seasons.

Everybody on FT knows this, sadly we want it NOW and now that we have been relegated it is a multi year project & maybe slower to achieve with the problems in place and the quality vs 2 years ago.

That will make none of us happy in the absence of any sound from the ownership or suggestion of what they want to achieve & acceptance at any level of mistakes made.

A careful and competent boardroom would not have made the mistakes KP and co have made. Just take a look around the PL, yes there will be mistakes littered throughout, but no other PL team has self imploded like us, embarrassingly just take a look at Everton, who were until the takeover in utter turmoil, they still avoided relegation even with two points deductions.

In terms of KP elevating us, yes they did, but to a %….  In terms of their contribution, financially they’ve obviously improved us, but as I’ve banged on about it before, and I’ll continue to bang on about it, the main contribution to our success was Nigel Pearson and the team of competent people he put around him, he was even brought back by KP after two failed bids under Sousa and Sven. Gradually over time, the club has been eroding, and erosion that between Puel (who oversaw some really good recruitment) and Brendan who was able to squeeze more out of the lemon, until he pretty much gave up after he lost faith in the project.

The erosion then double timed following the loss of Vichai.

The crooks are, King Power have contributed of course they have, but at one point they had an excellent team below them that facilitated success, gradually that’s gone, and has never been replaced. You can build the best building in the world, but if you start removing fundamental elements of the foundations and don’t replace them the building will collapse. King Powers financial backing has been supplemented by having competent people working around them, as that’s disappeared so has the club.

King power won’t turn this around unless pone of two things happen…

1 Top rebuilds the boardroom with competent football people.

2 Top sells the club.

That’s it.

This basically.

Otherwise it’s rinse and repeat, same mistakes being made, money pissed away.

Peter Schmeicel less than enthused with the senior management at the club on talksport

’some people there need to have a long hard look at themselves ‘

and he also said ‘watch this space’ wrt the next weeks/months in this regard

What was the context of the 'watch this space' - ie, what question was he answering?

Jim asked him what thought re the announcement on vardy and he simply said that all good things come to an end (perhaps also a comment on kasper leaving ? ) and then pretty much straight into the comment on the leadership of the club at a high level which led onto his watch this space comment.

id be surprised if kasper doesn’t still speak to top or someone in the family

Ok, so there are obviously a lot of rumours going around about it. Hopefully there's substance behind them - it will be massive disappointment if nothing comes to fruition.

I heard that too, Peter was certainly not happy with some at Leicester - hinted at the board - I think, as we suspected things didn't end well with Kasper.  Its terrible he didn't get the send off he deserved

I don't think it'll be as exciting as everyone expects.

Susan will depart, Rudkin will become head of football/sport for Top/KP and we will bring in someone in a technical/sporting director capacity.... would be my bet.

Interesting Vardy didnt mention Rudkin in his video, but did thank Susan, I'm probably reading too much into it though.

I'm just pleased the media are really starting to pick up on it all, even the most hard-core king power fanatic must be struggling to form an argument against it now.

If rudders hands are off the tiller and he’s basically just there to keep top informed what’s going on then that’s ok for me.

we need someone capable doing the daily and strategic stuff

Cannot stand him. Arrogant AF. He broke the golden rule when openly criticising / undermining Puel. No matter whether he was right, he expressed views from inside the camp on TV.

However, it is evidence that his inside chatter is accurate. So interesting developments possible.

Any links to the Peter Schemichel comments?

not that I can find but he said he was fond of the club after the memories of Kasper's time there and how sad he was to see what has happened to the club and how it has been allowed to happen.  He said some people at the club need to take a long hard look at themselves. Jim asked if he meant the board and he didn't outright say yes but that was what he heavily implied.  He was quite angry about it and I thinks it shows, as we suspected, that Kasper's end at the club was as bad as we thought.  It's terrible he didn't get the send off he deserved.  It appears the Schmeichal's have strong affection for Leicester but not certain people there

Thee rumours are about new ownership or at least a new senior investor, so a bit more than just deckchair shuffling underneath Top.

Rudkin being given power and any say over the football club, would still be detrimental in my eyes . He'll still want final say. So we either get a "yes" man who just does what Rudkin wants or anyone with their own mind will be constantly undermined and leave at the first opportunity.

I can imagine Vards leaving is good news for Top. Means the crowd will stay placid and onside for the rest of the season, grateful to see Vardy play a couple more times.

(Not that that wasn’t the case anyway, but it’s a distraction that lifts the pressure).
