We also weren't in the Prem let alone in the conversation for the Prem title race.

Yeah but you said we weren't flying high. We'd just come off the back of our best season in a fairly long time

It's hard to believe that protests aren't happening before every game until they are gone but there are just too many fans who believe that we just need the right manager and all will be ok. I have 2 friends who just won't entertain criticism of the ownership, that we just have to keep supporting through good times and bad.

Can you ask them at what point do they consider we are rock bottom and it's Top's fault. Out of business or playing in the city league?

They don't see any of it as Top's fault. Criticism of Top is a criticism of the family who they see as realising all our dreams. It's the kind of blind loyalty you would normally see in relatives.

Yeah absolutely bossing it finishing 6th in the Championship, we were 8th going into the last game of that regular season as well.

I mean compared to now, heady heights but let's not pretend we were a Prem level team at the time.

It’s had to believe that those shocked that protests aren’t happening against the owner aren’t taking it on themselves to organise the protest’s themselves but rather just moan on here about their shock at a lack of protests.

Pedant alert we weren't. We'd secured playoff qualification the week before at Preston. Our game against Middlesbrough was dead rubber hence Wellens scoring a panenka penalty.

Andy King smashed home a superb second-half winner to secure Leicester's place in the Championship play-offs.

Think the finishing 6th after being 8th at kick off on the final day was 2013. Clearly, I'm also a pedant.

We weren't but okay, and compared to the 5 years prior they were heady heights, we'd of likely gone up sooner had they not took over and ****ed about throwing cash at crap.

Not making out we were a prem level side either, but don't make out when they took us over we were on our arse.

I presume that is a joke or a throwaway comment. We would all be pretty lonely if we isolated ourselves from everybody who had a different opinion. They can support their football team however they want to.

I suppose the last night result will satisfy the KP thermos swilling Martin sympathisers, turned a corner he needs time lots appetite.

It's on SM that Martin expects us to grow and be a realistic challenge for the league winners after such a "positive" result against Fulham U21's.

The man's a deluded self obsessed fool.

It’s not just a specific position the club is it at a moment in time though.

At the time they took over, it was a club in the ascendancy. Breezed through L1 and straight into the playoffs. But more importantly, the backroom structure that was the root of our successful period was already well in place with Pearson.

Let’s not pretend we were a struggling club that needed some pioneering input from the owners to turn us around. It was already happening. Their early decisions to drop Pearson, being in Souza then Sven whilst spending big on average players with poor attitudes (sounds familiar) set us back a couple of years before Pearson returned and put it right.

We’ve also suffered a lot of reputational damage under the KP ownership. The promotion in 2014 had a stigma attached for financial irregularities as we had paid that settlement. Then the financial side has really hit the fan in the past few years.

At least Vichai learnt from his mistakes, but yes I’d forgotten the parallels with the mercenaries brought in by Sven to what’s gone on in recent times. Aiyawatt on the other hand, if he’s even that involved, and his fluffer Mr Rudkin have showed little signs of being able to learn.

Yeah, essentially Vichai didn’t really know what he was doing in a footballing sense but was a good enough business man and was humble enough to admit mistakes and listen to others. Aiyawatt is arrogant and won’t learn from his mistakes.

But definite parallels with 2010-11 but doubling down rather than changing direction. But still people idolise Aiyawatt? Make it make sense!

For me, the sad reality is that Top has looked increasingly out of his depth running Leicester City

I genuinely believe he held on to the club for so long because of the dreams and ambitions of his father, Vichai, and the incredible legacy he left behind.
Nobody can take away what the Srivaddhanaprabha family and King Power have done for Leicester City, particularly during the greatest period in the club’s history.

But football moves quickly, and standing still can be just as damaging as making the wrong decisions.

Over recent years, Top has appeared increasingly distant from the day-to-day running of the club. In my view, too much responsibility and influence was allowed to fall elsewhere within the hierarchy, particularly with Jon Rudkin. Recruitment decisions, lengthy contracts, high wages and an ageing squad have all contributed to the position Leicester City now finds itself in.

Whatever the reasons behind those decisions, the financial consequences have been enormous. A club that achieved the impossible by winning the Premier League, played Champions League football and lifted the FA Cup has subsequently suffered relegation, financial problems and points deductions.

That decline cannot simply be dismissed as bad luck.

Top has publicly indicated that he would only consider selling Leicester City to someone capable of taking the club forward and protecting its future. That principle is understandable — supporters don’t want the club passed from one bad owner to another.

But there is another danger: waiting too long.

If King Power can no longer provide the investment, leadership and long-term strategy Leicester City needs, then finding the right new owner becomes increasingly important.

Vichai dreamed of building something special at Leicester City, and he achieved more than any of us could ever have imagined.

The priority now must be making sure that legacy has a future.

Hopefully, the right buyer is out there — someone with the ambition, resources and long-term vision to rebuild Leicester City and give the supporters something to believe in again.

Because LCFC cannot afford to drift indefinitely.

The club needs direction. It needs stability. And above all, it needs a future.

People seem to forget Top was in charge for the first two yrs. Vichai took charge and converted a huge debt into shares.

I would love to know just how Rudkin did it. By all accounts he's been disliked since he was part of the academy, so even getting to DoF level is impressive. To then swing 7 years of abject failure into yet more money is just insane. I really just do not get it
