The thing is people say that it’s not the ownership, it’s his exec team. Fine, he sacks the exec team. Do you really trust this moron to hire our next set of directors ?

Problem is I dont trust him to sack them, never mind what comes after, crazy how many people dont get this.

He gets rid of his dog on the lead Rudkin, I expect he would be immediately lost.  He made himself over reliant on him as he doesnt have that decision making.

This lot?

Good luck with that one.

They’ll happily clap shit players, demand shit managers get more time, remind you that we were in Div III once, and tell you that you should be careful what you wish for. They’ll watch tournaments in countries that murder dissenters and hoy gays from skyscraper windows, while telling you boycotts change nothing.

This fanbase is the most pathetically compliant bunch of ovine sops you could hope to meet.

Yeah but some of us are nice.

You could have that as the half-time entertainment and some of our fans would be applauding so long as they got a free mince pie and bottle of Evian.

I'm in agreement that it's probably time for Top to sell up as he's had ample opportunity to change things at the club ie the board, and he hasn't done it. Heads should have rolled after we got relegated but nothing happened and then heads should have rolled with the whole FFP fiasco, even if we did get away with it for now on a technicality. It's clear to see the club has been poorly run for a number of years so Top should have taken responsibility for this and taken action by sacking the board members responsible for our demise (we all know who they are) and hired people who actually know how to run a football club.

My worry is, even if he did decide to sell, who would realistically want to buy us? On the one hand we are attractive with the training ground, facilities etc but with the ffp restrictions and the state of our playing squad, that doesn't make us particularly attractive. Other than Mads and potentially Fatawu if he recovers well, we have no value in our squad and very little quality.

Doesn’t matter if someone comes in and buys the club, PSR has ruined the chance for us and any smaller rich club to compete by spending. Even Newcastle can’t spend!

The fish rots from the head and Top is the rot.

He isn’t up to the job and he never has been. Time to walk and take the hangers on with him.

There was a few golden years where King Power couldn't believe their luck. Yes they threw shit loads of money (against loans) at it in the Championship but in the Premier League everything has been bank rolled by some freak transfers. All whilst they lap up absolutely all the praise.

Every single person from Susan Whelan, John Rudkin. You name it. They've rode this shit until the wheels come off and then some.

I just have such a bad feeling when Top decides he's had enough we will be in an even worse position than when he arrived.

People say about him being a businessman but in what other line of business (awful term as I write that on a football forum) would this failure be allowed to continue? When business fails there are usually people that lose jobs, board changes etc, but at our club nothing has changed. Nothing has changed since the last failure two years ago.

Completely agree- I know plenty are already there, but he's rapidly running out of the credit in the bank for his and Vichai's previous successes in my eyes.

If he does get rid of Rudkin (or at least bring in some competent staff to oversee things), it's also a clean slate- the situation is far from lost.

It's not always about spending, look at Brighton and Brentford, they've shown that it's about having a well run club from top to bottom with the right people in charge of things like scouting and recruitment etc. We don't have any decent structure at our club and any potential new owner would have to completely start from scratch in terms of the board, recruitment/scouting set up and even the playing squad. The club has been so mis managed for so long, there is no quick fix, even for a new owner and this for me, would potentially put off anyone wanting to invest a load of money in LCFC.

In business a firm is very lucky if its founder has a child/children who has the same talent - usually that successor will have been trained and familiarised from early on.

Vichai was astute, but football is a complex business and he made a few mistakes himself. There aren't dynasties in football - you hope to choose a good manager but judging by the turnover of managers, even at Premier level, you're lucky if you find an Arteta or Emery. Look at how Guardiola has lost his magic touch.

Top hasn't earned the right to succeed Vichai - he's showboating off of his dad's rep. He's got advice that's not being given to benefit the team, but to keep Rudkin and Whelan on the gravy train.

He's frozen into indecision - maybe can't even see the train wreck that's coming. He's sabotaging his father's legacy by his inability to act. KP is no longer intertwined with Leicester City FC - the priorities are no longer valid. No matter who becomes manager now, City don't have Vichai at the helm. I'd be embarrassed if I were Top. He needed to learn to be decisive, ruthless even. If he believes it's OK to get relegated or he's content to listen to bad advice, then we're stuck. I think it's clear a change is needed at ownership level, but I don't see him respecting the serious fans. In business reputation is all - took Vichai time to build his and the club's rep and that rep is being dissipated.

As for LCFC representatives asking for anti board posts to be taken down, I'd be inclined to say f**k off. It's interfering with free and objective (not objectionable) speech. I've supported City much longer than KP have owned it. Time all English clubs had responsible and forthright fans on the board. I know that Italian fans would be objecting to this kind of shambles by protesting and 'security' wouldn't stop them.

Sheffield United  now been took over, surely  we're  more attractive  than those types of club , you'd  think someone  would be interested  in trying their luck here .Has it stands we'll be  worth less to Top if and when we're relegated, probably  this season .Club needs a massive shake up and that'll  only come with new owners .

Why are they resistant to board change?

Reckon, given Rudkin's over 20 years of service at LCFC, that Top etc may think that his 'local' experience and knowledge within the club may be lost without him..

He’s ****ing awful at his job with King Power racing. They have a distinct lack of good horses. At least they get a day out at Ascot and keep friends. The club being used as a status tool to keep friends and influence people.

This 100%.

A weak leader is kept in place by those that are able to exploit that weakness in order to maintain their own power and position.

Exactly. If he was brave enough, set up an interview with a fans group, live. No screening of questions.
