With him coming in I really want us to persevere with Okoli.  And if the Faes rumours are true, then he'll be fxxking off now or in the summer, so it'd be nice to have Big Caleb given a chance instead of the ever regressing Coady.

Possibly not, because of visa permit requirement etc (?).

Parma have an 80 page thread on him... need to fast forward the last few days posts.

From what I can gather, he's been an important player for them, good going forward, plays right/left back and midfield, has an error in him, and they blame the owners for allowing his contract to run down (but don't blame him for leaving for a better contract). Still has potential to improve and has pace and physicality. Enzo must've seen something in him so might do ok for us :fc:

Sounds ever so familiar lol

Have read the last 3 pages of the Parma Coulibaly chat. They say he's their quickest defender, is good going forward improved a lot in last 2 years, but has moments where he lacks concentration. I will take the physicality and pace as we have zero of that currently. The great passing an tactics can be done by somebody else...

He will fit in perfectly then

Wins a penalty (and gets the man sent off) in this game. Also caught ball-watching to allow a goal in, though maybe it was a bit unfortunate.

Seeing this video does make it clear why we wanted to sign him though. PACE. He is fast. When we step up with a high line with Vestergaard and Coady, when we lose the ball, it puts us in trouble. Kyle Walker for Man City (and now the Uzbekistan player they are signing) are there to give them some kind of chance on transition.

I can see the thinking behind this one, but at the end of the day Ahmed Musa was also fast, and look how he turned out...

lets not completely judge it yet.....

think we'll have to wait and see with this one

Okoli lost his place because he had to play next to Faes the clown. If he was partnered next to someone decent I think he'd be solid for us for a good few years.

Such a bizarre transfer but what do you expect from life under King Power.

Okoli is shit because Faes is shit?

We need someone that raises everyone else's game. Not needing it to be raised.

No I mean Faes lowers the game of people around him, especially at this level. Okoli would be fine with an experienced CB next to him imo and would develop into a solid prem level player.

I'm not sure about that. Faes is a massively experienced CB. A full international that's played at the highest level for years.

I've not seen anything from Okoli to suggest he's going to be a solid premiership player.

I would get rid of all our center backs given the chance and start again. They are all the problem not the solution.

Coady; too slow and old

Vestergaard; too slow and old.

Okoli; not good enough IMO.

Faes; ( actually my favourite center back) But just not solid enough and prone to errors.

The guy is young and learning still. A capable, experienced head alongside would help enormously.

I agree, someone like Evans when he first arrived. He did a hell of a lot of covering for Maguire due to he reading of the game and positioning. It wouldn't hurt to have a couple of games next to Vestergaard.
