Wout Faes will leave Leicester City this summer!

 

It is a Sky CH exclusive: Leicester City and Wout Faes will leave each other at the end of the 2024/2025 season. Currently penultimate in the Premier League, the Foxes are going through a particularly difficult period and this sporting instability leads to a direct consequence on the club's financial balance sheets. In the event of relegation, a massive degreasing of the team's cadres will be applied. What's more, the financial necessity is already pushing English leaders to anticipate the disaster and therefore to establish the first discussions with the players likely to be sold, a list of which is part... Wout Faes.

 

Under contract until June 2027, the defender has reached an agreement with Leicester City to facilitate his departure in the event of an interesting offer. An exit voucher granted that inevitably arouses the interest of several Italian and German clubs... Enjoying a real international popularity rating, the Belgian is targeted by Lazio Roma for next summer, which would consider the arrival of the native of Mol in the Italian capital as a real market opportunity if the relegation to the Foxes Championship were to be confirmed.

 

If we follow this scenario linked to the possible relegation of the English club, Wout Faes could then leave the Premier League at half the price compared to its market value, i.e. twenty million euros according to the assessment of the reference site Transfermarkt. An attractive price of about ten million euros that could attract clubs other than the Laziali, already in pole position in this file...

 

So, will Wout Faes choose the Lazialis to give a new impetus to his career or will he prefer a championship like the Bundesliga where mobile defenders enjoy more space in the animation of their game in order to develop offensive football?

He's 85% a bloody good defender. Physical, front footed, committed. But boy does that 15% count!! As his errors / brain farts just seem to always equate to serious issues (goals). I do wonder whether he was unfortunate to have experienced two premiership campaigns when our defence was more leaky than a seive. But of course he has created some of those issues himself. I will miss the hair. But at the right price, I'll get over it!

Good riddance tbh. Has been pretty iffy for large spells and seems to think he's above us despite this.
