We can't just keep swapping managers when the main issue is a complete dearth of quality and an imbalanced squad.

Absolutely right, but it's also about picking the players that give you the best chance of winning, and getting the very best out of the players he has, even though they may be lacking in real quality, and he isn't doing either in my opinion.

Does it really matter?

Unless it’s gone unnoticed we currently have a sh#t show of a squad !

Houfcukingdini wouldn’t be able to drag this shower over the finishing line!

Do we actually think having a manager or not will have any impact on our squad's ability to play a full 90 minutes of football? I'm honestly not sure it matters at this point. They're just not good enough, and confidence is through the floor.

No. The whole club needs a clear out

Exactly. Its like keep swapping the driver of a broken car hoping the car will suddenly start working.

I can understand people calling for Dyche. Really seems like we’re circling the drain and  could do with a ship steadier for a bit.

….but I really don’t think this group of players would respond to his ways and methods. A lot of them think they’re better than what they are and would turn on him pretty quickly.

We’re a mess, from top to bottom. It’s hard to watch.

Ridiculous naivety from some on here that want Ruud gone. Guess we just want to appoint new manager after new manager. Same people would want Dyche gone after 4 bad results.

I beg you jokers focus your attention on the people at the top.

Never wanted him in the first place, but the board chose him, so they are to blame

I don’t really get the argument that ‘it won’t make a difference’. I’d still rather have a better manager in charge.

Even if he can’t turn fortunes around this season, a progressive manager with a good style of football might be something to build on - maybe even entertain us a bit - a crazy idea I know! He might improve players and get the best out of them. Great managers do that.

I would prefer that to 4 months of just accepting our fate and going down with a whimper.

And it’s irrelevant we can’t trust the board to hire the right man, this is a discussion forum, all of it is theoretical anyway.

Vardy player/manager till the end of the season. At least he'd motivate the team!. We won't be getting anyone better the state we're in.

If the players believe they are better than what they are, stick them in the reserves because I ain’t being funny the majority are not premier league standard.

Brian Barry-Murphy! He won't cost any money, has a great pedigree and (as yet) can't be blamed for any of this shit show.

I think this will be the case if we are relegated. Spot on

Felix Magath

He'd make our players turn up for training at 5am on an empty stomach, have them run up beacon hill and back down until 10am while they're carrying a medicine ball under each arm. Anyone who doesn't run two marathon distances by then is sentenced to do it again carrying 4 medicine balls. Anyone who drops from exhaustion is sent to the glue factory to be turned into more medicine balls.

Plus he'd work with local cheese manufacturers to come up with the perfect Quark recipe, to apply to the players' inflamed joints.

Not sure anyone externally would want the job. Would have to be a punt on Brian Barry Murphy or Mark Robins is out of work.

Mark Robins is at Stoke.

Rohl would be a good shout. Plays attacking, high tempo football and seems to be a good motivator. He's managed to get Sheff Wed close to the play offs with a largely limited squad and a dysfunctional ownership. When he took over last season they were horribly adrift and looked doomed to the drop.

Dyche - available

He would get some more out of these players. At times they look like lacking any idea.

But ultimately the squad is clearly not good enough for top flight football.

Today was poor management and the substitutions where not the correct decision but ultimately it's a deeper club problem.

Poor additions over the summer.

I would have thought that Ruud would have come in with Targets for window. Question is were they unrealistic or are the board not backing him?

The problem is the squad has no ‘star’ players who are game changers. Through inept recruitment by Cooper and Ruskin, RVN has inherited a squad who comfortably won the Championship, but none have Premiership quality. Even if we had a ‘Pep G as manager he would not get any better tune out of this mob. I hope he can turn it round, but needs to somehow get rid of half the existing squad and recruit players who can deliver his ideas. Unless something drastic is done in this window we are destined for the Championship
