They were under the impression that Werner was still the #1 target and the more likely option. Thanks. I'm guessing it's to do with the Red Bull links with both, so it makes sense in that way. Just £25m sounds too much. But if we get offered that, we have to take it. However only if we can replacement. But I think Spurs will be happy to sell Werner. JimJams Posted 25 January 2025 Posted 25 January 2025 (edited) Dakas contract runs out Jun 2026 anyway, so he's due to be sold. However, google Werner and there's plenty of stories popping up about a potential transfer. Google Daka, and there's nothing. Emil Forsberg RB Leipzig 2024– Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting Bayern Munich 2025– Could be right. There’s a player listed as “2024,” but I’ve seen elsewhere that he’s on a full year loan into 2025. Lambert09 Posted 25 January 2025 Posted 25 January 2025 Daka has proved he’ll score goals in weak leagues. He would be elite in the mls similar to how jozy altidoor couldn’t score for sunderland or hull but was the best player in the mls

Muzzy_no7 Posted 25 January 2025 Posted 25 January 2025 Won’t happen. We aren’t lucky enough to get decent money for a misfit
Finn Claw II Posted 25 January 2025 Posted 25 January 2025 Decent money for any player in our squad and I’d let them go. Bank it for the rebuild. Ayew, Vardy, the kit man and Eduoard - in that order to score the goals that keep us up….

Genesis1 Posted 25 January 2025 Posted 25 January 2025 We make jokes because he's not great in the premier league but he'll likely do very well in America. For 25m they could have a decent striker for the next 5-7 years.

LCFCJohn Posted 26 January 2025 Posted 26 January 2025 I’m not sure how book value BS works part way through the season but £23,000,000 over 5 years is £4,600,000 per year. Presumably until the summer he’d have £9,200,000 left. Given people were happy with the tiniest bit of PSR profit from Cannon I guess anything £12,000,000 would be fine.
The Hitman Posted 26 January 2025 Posted 26 January 2025 There’s only Mads, BEK and Fatawu I wouldn’t sell at that price in the whole squad. If we can get that sort of money for any other player then sell and try and replace them, squad needs a huge overhaul.
Dahnsouff Posted 26 January 2025 Posted 26 January 2025 So we would be left with just Vardy and Edouard? Seems unlikely. (leaves door open for ‘shouldn’t have sold Cannon.’ apologists) 1
Saxondale Posted 26 January 2025 Posted 26 January 2025 I reckon he’d absolutely smash it in the MLS to be fair.
