Really needs a good loan and competitive senior experience, hope he gets the game time though and will be looking out for his progress.

Was at the U21 game tonight at Seagrave so presume this isn't quite done yet.

Tbf mate WalesOnline make Alan Nixon look like Fabrizio Romano. They'll print basically anything.

That said, it's a weird rumour to just make up.

Worries me he isn’t guaranteed any game time with Cardiff. Is the championship a step too far at the moment?

Play more games there then he will here at a competitive level, and even as a bench player will make an impact it’s a better step than playing Under 21s.

Fxxking hell, with the way he's seen as the potential savior if he can't get regular games at Cardiff then I think it's probably time to accept that maybe he's not nearly as good as people think.

If the bottom end of the championship is a step too far then he how the hell would he have been any use to us?

Hopefully he pisses it.

Don’t understand why with our terrible performances and lack of quality options wide we are shipping this lad out to fight for a club that’s been a basket case even more than us and one that is in a Championship relegation battle. He should’ve had way more minutes with our lack of quality in forward positions. I’d much rather see Alves playing the inverted wing role than Ayew or BDCR. An inexperienced Alves isn’t going to do any worse than two players in decline.

A slightly more experienced Alves will be worth more to us than an Alves playing in the most toxic team in the league.

Cardiff aren’t any better ran than us!! He should’ve had way more game time here this season. I’m sick of seeing older players dialling it in on massive wages. We are rubbish, we might as well play some of the creative young players. Instead we send them to fkin Cardiff.

Maybe he’s just not as good as people hope yet? Classic case of anybody not playing in a losing team seem better than what they are.

Just left The Emirates as I was given a ticket to the Arsenal v Man City game today. Arsenal played two academy lads, 17 & 18, who have yet to leave school. Both scored. Meanwhile our best prospect in years apparently can’t be risked, by our Director of Football and in the opinion of many on this forum, because they lack experience and need to develop away from our first team. I just find it absolutely baffling. We’re as much a joke off the pitch as on it right now.

Anyway, let’s hope he gets a chance to start moving towards achieving his full potential at Cardiff.

But he’s moving away from home and gaining experience in another league which is easier. Throwing a young lad who hasn’t really played first team football into this situation could finish them, sending them elsewhere could really benefit us.

Whilst I don't disagree with you, being surrounded by great players helps.

Those two arsenal boys are likely generational talents.  Probably see them picked by Tuchel and play in the next WC. They’re light years ahead of will atm.
