Saw the Russell Osman interview in The Fox. He mentioned the endless daft passing around the back when the defenders are not that good and any decent players not seeing the ball.

I'm looking forward to watching the second half, exactly like I'll be paying $200 to watch next year's matches v Oxford, Hull et al. 

 

 

 

p.s. I'm not a snob about the Championship.  Last season was great.  A club with a plan and belief, always competing, is a joy to see.

I'm not sure we should have stuck with Cooper, what we should have done is get in a manager with experience who can see our shortfalls and work on them on the training pitch and at least make us hard to beat.

This could easily be the second 7-0 result of the day.

RVN is clearly not the man for the job and the complete shambles of recruitment since this time last year should result in the sacking of Rudkin and those involved with recruitment.

We would be as well off asking a monkey to pull names out of a hat and recruit that way than employing the current recruitment team who are clearly not fit for purpose.

Of course nothing will happen.

Well that was shocking.

 

The most disappointing thing is there needed to be a shape change in our defensive structure.

 

Garner is a dangerous player with the ball and was continually finding space between the lines of our defensive shape.

 

But equally, our attacking patterns are very stale and unimaginative.

 

You look at the numbers Everton get in and around the ball when they have it, there’s a fluidity about their play.

 

To be frank - we’re playing in the exact same manner as we were under Cooper.

Not one for hyperbole, but that was the worst half of football I've seen in a long time. Those are the type of goals you don't see teams conceding at professional level let alone premier league level. Defence is bad but it's all over the pitch, absolutely miles off it
