It's pointless sacking him, this season is a write off, nobody decent is going to want to work with these shite players and this shite board.

Exactly, No one else did when ruud took over either

Yes if Dyche takes the job. No if he doesn’t.

I’d still rather keep RVN than the board though. Bunch of clowns need to **** off.

If you change manager, go long-term. No more short-term fixes.

Fair enough. I meant the football though. We played a recognisable and completely different system in that first game… then every game since has basically been cooper ball with slightly better passing

Ahhh yes sorry, I'm with you. Agreed, I just think the job is too big for him and he's questioning everything he thought about management. Was always the biggest risk, allowing a manager to learn on the job in a relegation battle is never a smart move.

With better players we might have seen better results, but he knew what we were when accepting the job, I just dont think he has the experience and know how required, not sure anyone else would salvage our shit show at present, but we need to try something different, and appoint someone else for the Championship rebuild, as I think we all know that's where we are going, as a club.

Need to look at the players, you cannot compete with a defence like ours. A centre back pairing of Vesty and Faes who could claim a motorbility allowance

Thing is those won the championship, it's rumoured okoli wants gone, and is coady any better?

I thought letting Souttar go on loan was the most brain dead decision ever, but there you are

Wouldn’t care if he walks or he is sacked.

But problems run much deeper, what are we trying to do with this football club in terms of identity?

We went for a possession style system under Maresca, Cooper tried to move away from that while recruiting some horrific players, now Ruud probably wants a possession style, but we just don’t have the players for it at this level.

We have become Burnley 2.0 of last season.

This squad on paper needs ripping up, but with the contracts some of these players are on, it’s unlikely that we’ll see them depart.

The squad is just an uninspiring jumbled mess. This possession based identity that we tried to create just doesn’t work.

This squad needs changing with a manager who brings something different, unfortunately it’s hard to trust a board to change things when they constantly get things wrong.

It was a glamour appointment, Top and Rudkins hubris had them thinking they were appointing another star manager in the making after Utd smashed us. They're a pair of idiots that think they know the football game

What would be the point, as we’ve again left it too late.

it amazes me that the board can’t seem to grasp the fact that we seriously should roll the dice, pay some money for two new players cb and rw, and do this yesterday

We are going down

I don't think we should sack him because we're not good enough but I would personally be pressing the Dyche button tonight.

Utterly pointless - genuinely don’t care

1. The squad isn’t good enough. Cheers Cooper  et al

2. I don’t trust Rudkin and Aiyawatt to appoint anyone innovative

3. Id rather the money go on a defender

You could put Pep In it'd make no difference with this group of players.

Agreed, but you put a Dyche, Allardice, Warnock, the gritty no frills Tesco Value brand type of manager, who knows

Whatever manager we have will struggle with this board and no support

Exactly. He's making mistakes yes but he took over an absolute basket case, and sacking him will achieve nothing without sweeping changes above him

It doesn't make a difference what manager comes in......the owner and board are useless. They are not supportive, clearly tell little white lies about recruitment, zero communication, a massive disconnect with the fans.

I feel sorry for Ruud tbh.....yes he has made weird decisions but look what he is working with and losing Abdul, Riccy and Wilf plus Mads....

Changes need to happen from the "Top" down

Players are not good enough. But manager will carry the can for how bad we are at the back right now, we're terrible. Souttar or Nelson wouldn't be this bad.

But I don't rate RVN at all tbh, not seeing any real improvement.

The time to sack him if ever is now. A two week premier league break now is ideal. Fa cup game is irrelevant and better if we're out of it
