There have been plenty of shit squads that have stayed up previously, Forest being one example. But the reason they stay up is because they have a manager who gets the basics right and then injects passion, fight and commitment into the team…. Just like Moyes has seemingly done with Everton, their squad is diabolical, but they are willing to fight, they leave nothing on the pitch when they’ve finished and they will out fight any team who isn’t up for it.

 

You don’t need talent for that, you just need a desire to go out and fight and a cohesive unit. We don’t have either….. at this point I think it’s lost, because I don’t think it’s the lack of quality on the squad that’s killing us, it’s the lack of ****s, they don’t care, they’re swanning around not giving a shit. A hand full of players look like they give a **** and that’s not good enough. No manager will be able to turn it around of the players don’t at least have a shred of fight. We are weak as piss, mentally pathetic and wouldn’t win a fight with a room of paper bags.

The positives to appointing ruud was that he was likely gonna be widely respected due to his past achievements as a player and the contacts he may have had in the game, so yeah appointing him was another blunder

At this stage it doesn't matter. On balance yes but no-one who comes in can get tune from this bunch of gutless clowns. They're clearly not being prepared properly for games but the individual errors and displays show they're also disinterested in trying.

We needed a couple of scrappers in the side this summer, and we didn't see it. We lost the game on being weak and passive, just got to hope ndidi is the tonic we need to change our fortunes, he alwayd takes a while to get back after injury though, by then will probably be too late

This. Whoever is in charge needs at least half a new team. Cooper and van Nistelrooy aren't good choices but any coach is vulnerable to this lot running to the owner when anything difficult appears.

Out and now, if you take on the job, the only requirement is keep us out of the relegation zone, Van Rooney has failed and clearly will continue to fail, a definate downgrade from the inadequate but much more likely to succeed Cooper.

I know the players are shit but I genuinely think a more experienced manager would get more out of this squad than Rvn currently is or has. The guy does not change  a thing all game apart the players and the tactics remain the same the whole game win lose or draw.

He can go and all the coaches except Brian Barry Murphy who I would give an interim job to until end of season.

Stay or go we will be in the Championship next season but if he stays he needs the boot as soon as the season ends. Hel be far too gone with the players (near all of whom wel be stuck with) and fans by that point to lead our half arsed promotion push next year.
