Don’t know if Southampton will be spending more of all that cash they’ve raked in from sales. It’s one game, despite friendlies you’re trying to jump forward from a standing start, I think there will more lukewarm performances this weekend, hopefully not us, momentum is rarely there this soon and it’s a false start anyway whilst the window is still open. 5 or so games and and window closed will give more of an idea.

But yeah, they don’t look all that do they !

They’ll spend plenty more once Dibling for about 35+ mill

Could have done without that winner, they’ll only get stronger once the new signings are in

Based on that im glad we didnt go for Still. Proper pedestrian football and if it wasn't for Bazunu and poor finishing they should have been 3 or 4 behind.

Didn't create a good chance till the 95th minute haha

All in all, ill take that

Agreed. He's had plenty of the off season to work with that side and they looked a shadow of the Russell Martin's team last time out in the Championship. I know Soton struggled with the opener that season against Plymouth, but you could see that they were well drilled. Soton today reminded me a bit like us under Cooper. Trying to play the Enzo way without understanding the small coaching details that make the system work. Time will tell I guess, but I'm not convinced they've closed the gap between us from last season.

They were pretty subdued by craggy islands over 75 team

Not a fan on XG and Stats, but I looked them up after the game and they summed up my thoughts on the game. Southampton were by far the dominant side, dominated possession and a 3.3XG.

Maybe people just don't follow Football and simply listen to the Media narratives, but the truth is Wrexham are never challenging for the Top 6, and Southampton had most of their best players on the bench.

Not a fan of VAR but what I have learnt in the past 2 live marches is, that if that's the standard of reffing in the championship they need all the help they can get and it's gonna be a very long frustrating season when it comes to decisions

I would say that is debatable

Maybe at striker but we have the much better wingers and attacking mid

Agree with the wingers, but if BEK goes or gets injured we don't really have another number 10 or even attacking number 8 of any real substance. Relying on complete unknowns in Page/Alves isn't where I want to be.

If he goes than I expect we will replace him

Until the window closes there is no real point in comparing squads really

Hopefully with Mads leaving, we have more chance of keeping hold of him. Far more to it than that, granted.

Agree, hopefully though it is balanced. I'll love the fact that we'll get a way with more needling, niggly fouls and shirt pulling . . . then be outraged when it goes against us. lol

This, taking your chances is absolutely vital in this league. Ultimately we know that refs are going to make decisions against us, we just need to make sure that come the end of that 90 minutes we aren’t then using that as an excuse as to why we didn’t come away with 3 points.

Wrexham could have had the game dead and buried by half time today, and Southampton should have scored multiple but kept putting it right down the middle.

Ward failing to come out to narrow the angle. Coady failing to track a runner. Perfect. Shove it up your bum, Wrexham.

Don’t know much about your manager. Was he highly anticipated?

Been working in Brazil and Spain at this level but point is people complain the Pozzos are quick to change managers but really some of our fans are no better .

Maybe it’s a reality check for those who got hyped up and excited.

I think you're forgetting about Jordan Ayew, a man of many talents positions
