Just looking at Ipswich's signings and £18m for a striker who's best season total is 9 goals in the Norwegian league seems mental.

He's more of a winger, still a lot of money, but he got a decent number of goals and assists for Nordsjaelland last season

Ipswich seem to get away with so much negative media attention. What they've spent the last 12 months and what they've returned has been abysmal.

So many on here wanted him as well. Morons

Bit harsh.

It’s easy to be wise in retrospect. He might have been worth a gamble at circa £5m, but £9m always seemed a bit steep. Although not so horrendous when you consider we paid £8m for Jordan Ayew

It was pretty obvious he was a one season wonder. Freak season for him

He's an ok busy workhorse but yeah that goal output was just bizarre

I'm so glad their arrogance was brought down a peg or two.

Watching their documentary made me hate them more. Can't stand Brady. At least Wrexham owners are quite likeable.

Very pleased with both Ipswich and Saints having stuttering starts. This league has so many games that hitting a run makes any team a few good results away from challenging. Ipswich and Saints have (on paper) the squad depth to be a problem. Long may they continue to stutter.

Yeah, they irritate me big time. Been watching football since the 80s and they've had around 5 or 6 seasons out of 45 in the top league, and I'd guess an easy 15 in league one. The rest totally anonymous in the second tier.

Nothing club.

Derby are in the shit again aren’t they

I know I can’t believe it. Those championship experts the second tier podcast said they had won the transfer window have the 2nd best manager in the league (behind the McKenna 😂)

and would have a great season.

It’s not, L1 player at the very best as some people wanted to turn down 12M

You genuinely think Szmodics is a league one player? And you can say that with a straight face

Not the championship but remember in the summer some of our fans thought it was realistic to get Kroupi Jr on loan? Far too good for this league.

Actually using their sister club well

Must be nice
