I know this isn’t exactly impressive with Watford managers but when they appointed him I thought you’ll be gone fairly soon. Seemed like an absolute nobody

Be the most popular sacking of the lot though .

Fans haven’t taken to Pezzolano since day one really either due to having no connection with him , the tactics and team selections etc.

Usually they give the manager a bit of grace even if the owners don’t but summed up best that when we have won recently the reaction has been great but the players got three points not him .

I thought Gracia was harsh to be sacked originally but that was 2019 and a very different set of circumstances.

The Pozzos want a promotion push - good luck to him !

Is it even worth mentioning at this point.

I actually feel this time we are making a change because fans have been so against the current manager rather than Pozzo just thinking they aren’t up to it ,

Never heard our fans signing “Getting sacked in the morning “ to a manager twice mid way through a match for example.

And when we have won it’s still been pretty negative towards Pezzolano and his tactics and team selections .

Almost as if the club have acted on fan opinion so will bring back a former popular manager to appease the supporters.

Another one gone then

Shame.

I was hoping to see more of his “I’m not here to make friends” inspired team talks.

Mckenna winning Manager of the Month despite losing a game that got wiped from the record books whilst Lampard didn't even get nominated.....is a CHOICE. EFL can't believe we should be taking these awards seriously?

Lampard probably won't be bothered but he deserved it. First time in football league history a team won 3-0, 4-0 and 5-0 consecutively which probably deserved it alone.

The only reasoning is because its September the 4-0 and 5-0 landed in October but Mckenna is the jammiest bloke ever and the EFLs golden child, sickening!

Of course it is lol Lampard probably get it next month then.

Ipswich beat Sheffield United 5-0 in September, I wonder if that's swung it.

Yes most likely, we could have put a Foxestalk XI together and beaten Sheff Utd at that point I reckon hahah

You shouldn't take them seriously.

Our underlying level of performance is not 3rd in the table. We will start to drop eventually unless we can create more chances.

Dropping Soumare/Skipp is a good start but the problem really is that we have nothing up front.

Has been obvious all summer but the club only acted on the final day of the window, and then only to bring in a loanee who has since failed to start a game.

Personally I’m still seeing us as upper midtable at the moment, unless I see something to justify thinking otherwise. And that’s before the inevitable 6-7 point deduction

I wonder Gerrard is eyeing up the Norwich City job, hes perhaps looked how Lampard as revived himself at Cov and thinks he can do the same at Norwich.

Lampard has surrounded himself with an excellent coaching set-up, not sure Gerrard does the same.

Gerrard was really honest on Ferdinand's podcast recently and said about wanting a good team next time as he knows his weaknesses.
