Are QPR doing better this season than they did under Cifuentes? I know they had a big unbeaten run at some point last season.

They’re not missing him. Yet not pulling up trees. An influential manager is not forgotten so quickly. That is quite telling of his “impact” there.

This time last year they were 23rd with 14 points but had just started that good run, up to 10th in January. Maintaining their current points per game would see them finishing on 67 compared to 56 last season, when 67 points would have placed you a point outside the playoffs in 7th.

Just another hit and miss team really .

Win two games then lose next 3.

Got some very useful attacking players.

Wasn’t he was on gardening leave, because he wanted to join WBA?

Feels like this is happening to us a lot at the minute.

I’ve just seen we’re 15th, good grief. Levein era stuff.

Would be easier to swallow if we weren't paying Soumare, Daka, Skipp and Vesty about as much as that squad probably earned combined lol

For the last game of the season, yes. Not a lot of gardening going on for the previous 45 though I don't think

Exactly. Which is what they were under cifeuntes and we’ve trusted him with “getting us back up” but he didn’t achieve of note at his last club to make the “step up”. Which is what we are seeing now

First time we have been in the bottom half of the Championship this far into a season since 2010, a few months after this regime saved us and made a shambolic start. Maybe we should have taken more notice?

Wrexham doing well now that their team isn't packed with former Leicester players

Wouldn’t it be nice if we had the option to not pick Leicester players

Not seen a mention of it here but allegedly, Sheffield United’s owners have contacted Sheffield Wednesday administrators, enquiring about purchasing the club, with the view to merging them into one Sheffield club. Gross.

Yeah, I heard that. Shows how put of touch American owners are. They would turn it into a franchise.

Could you imagine the protests in Sheffield if they did try that?!

It's just another sign that football is broken.

Yep.

You know what, from a business point of view, it probably makes sense. It’s a big city but how many other cities sustain two clubs of that size. Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham. London of course. Most cities (Leeds, Leicester, Newcastle etc) have one, or some with 2 where one is quite a bit smaller such as Bristol and Nottingham (sorry @spacemunky). Sheffield is more unique in not being a powerhouse city like Manchester or Birmingham and Liverpool the clubs are just huge clubs. Maybe one club could put Sheffield (the home city of football) into a more powerful position.

But business point of view does not take into account over 150 years of history, from both, the fan bases and rivalries. For that reason, it’s a none starter and shouldn’t be considered.

They have come out and said it is false.

Ah ok. I had seen it was mentioned it would be shut down by the league and regulator. I hadn’t seen that the owners had denied it. True or backtracking after seeing any backlash?

15th is surely worse than when King Power bought us?

We had just finished 5th under Pearson and lost to Cardiff in the playoffs hadn’t we. With a strong back room set up, finances in order and a strong culture around the club.

We are absolutely in a much much worse position now, throughout the club, than when they bought us.
