Portsmouth are as bad as us I think it will be us and pompy that go

Funny that as both of us lack that cutting edge in front of goal

Loads of endeavour from Pompey but they really lack quality.

Them being above us in the league is truly humiliating

Not making excuses but they are only above us due to the points deduction*

*under appeal.

I positive part of me thinks its Oxford and Portsmouth. But we have to work out how to start winning for that to happen.

After recent results, there's absolutely nothing to suggest Oxford.

Oxford have found form at completely the wrong time so it won't be them, and think Blackburn have enough about them to be fine. Portsmouth and West Brom are probably the two I would be seek to overtake.

I think WBA are finding their feet. Pompey are dreadful, Blackburn should drop and have tough fixtures coming up. Are Oxford going to burn out too quickly? I think they'll have enough. It's out of them 3 for the last spot, I think.

Wednesday, us and Pompey I'm going for to go down.

I do think we’ll be in exactly the same position next season, should we somehow manage to survive.

After a good little spell Pompey are heading back into trouble.

Oh to have a good little spell this season. That would truly be the highlight.

The one hope would be that they have peaked too early. They’re unlikely to keep the form up.

Obviously relies on us to actually pull our fingers out and pick up some wins and for teams like Oxford not to be out of sight.

But sometimes the timing of a run of results is key. West Brom look in a more favourable position as they have improved a bit and they came together with a very good win at the weekend. If they put a run together it is the right time. Whereas Oxford yeah, might have peaked too soon.

Agreed. People think it will suddenly come together and we will ‘promote’ if we stay up. I agree with you, it’d be a similar story to 2004-2008 where if we stay up, it just results in circling the drain until we drop. From a financial point of view, holding that at bay for a year or two would be helpful.

I dunno I think we lack the cutting edge of being able to keep the ball out of our own ****ing net!

I’d say the bookies are insane, it’s easy to make money on us conceding and losing every week. Every other team is capable of grinding out a result, we aren’t, that is why we will be relegated without a shadow of a doubt.

I agree, but interestingly the bookies don’t.

Most seeing recent form as a random blip and nothing else. Their underlying stats are poor, despite recently winning 4 on the bounce they've still won fewer games than any relegation rival, and their remaining fixtures are probably the worst of the bunch with either relation rivals or teams in and around the playoffs (+Sheff Weds).
