Good one.

No, just don't understand why we're going for the man who is possibly the most difficult to release

Presumably because we think he's the best candidate?

Whoever it is, they need to have the full backing of the board to do things their way and get rid of any player in the squad that won't buy into it. We won't get the culture at the club sorted if we continue to allow the players to dictate everything. I like Rohl and I've been saying for months we should get him.

Why have we left sacking the manager so late , the new manager will have bugger all time to get players that he wants or are we just going to run with the crap that got us relegated.

how has our club gone from top of the mountain to the bottom in 10 years , I quess it all came with the death of our chairman

One small issue… No one wants overpaid players like Faes, Soumare, Coady etc.

Any new Manager may very well be stuck with them.

We need a Manager with a strong character.

A lot of posters on here underestimate how he turned round a club that was free falling to relegation in the Championship and he completely turned Wednesday around to a point where they were comfortably away from relegation. He’s built on the initial turnaround that he gave the club and although it doesn’t look that impressive from the outside, when you actually delve deeper into how bad Wednesday are ran (even worse than we are as baffling as that may sound). He’s the clear choice for me.

A few posters are overestimating him too, I fear.

What will we do when Rohl turns us down?

Have you seen the mess they are in? They make our situation look bliss! He will be waiting at the training ground entrance with his suitcases being told he’s not allowed in yet!

He’s currently negotiating leaving the club…… so it will be relatively simple to sort out.

Because they've identified him a being the best option and, thankfully, decided this time that they'll pay whatever it takes to get their man?

I agree but playing devil's advocate... For his faults, RVN had a strong character. Didn't do him much good.

I just think it looks like it’s far too straightforward for it to happen. I hope I’m wrong. Because I can see the alternative being Dyche and I don’t want him.

Agreed. He seemed isolated from the beginning though. Absent Ownership and not bringing in an experienced backroom staff didn’t help.

That’s why I hope whoever comes in, has his backroom staff ready to join him.

Is there any evidence either way that the link between the squad and Top was only through Vardy?

No but with the exceptions of Ndidi, Choudhury & Ward very few players would have been around long enough to establish that kind of relationship with Top.

Let them rot if they won't go.

Also one thing to bear in mind with Rohl is that most of his backroom staff are out of contract so won’t need to pay compensation, think he will be appointed with a back room team and Kingy from 1st July.

I wonder if Gandalf is available to tell Rudkin to "just slip this ring on a moment John"... 😐

is worth a read. Didn’t hold back on board (good) and I think it does paint a picture of a really fractured dressing room where player power was taking us down a bad path too with resistance to some of the training, not just physically having to be local to the club

Link in case people don’t have telegraph access.

Thanks.

Exactly why I don't have any hate towards him. He's basically got a free pass purely because of the way our board treated him/the state of the club off the pitch, which is mental when you consider the results.

Where do they get the balls to challenge every manager. I don’t get it. It’s incredible how low the standards at the club are.

Several key players had a direct link to the owner
