Now it appears Brazil are considering a manager from that league instead of Ancilloti. I’m asking you as our guru of world football , Matthias Jaissle. Loved his work at RB Salzburg, but not sure we’d be able to prise him away from Al-Ahli. 15 minutes ago, lcfc_forever said: Fully agree, it's the big issue at the club that it's so reliant on the manager rather than a strategy from the DoF who then picks the head coach based on this to avoid constant turnover of players and style. Also, agree on giving the academy talent time - we need a coach that can develop them as well. Seems to suggest an experienced, top-level assistant coach hungry to be a manager might be the best of both worlds, like Enzo. Really depends how brave they’ll be feeling again. If Leeds let Farke go, you’ll have three managers in Farke, Martin and Dyche right in Leicester City’s lap who’ve experienced Championship promotion, underwhelming as they are, it would be a safe and unsurprising route to go down. Or they can be brave and go the inexperienced route again, Davide Ancelotti probably tops that list right now as it seems he’ll definitely be available this summer. 4

I’m asking you as our guru of world football , Not a pool we will be shopping in. it’s not like a player where they’ve wasted time, a coach isn’t negatively impacted by managing in a different league. However, anyone out there, has gone for money and won’t be coming back for a low or reasonable amount

It would be quite something to follow up our last two managerial appointments with one that was even more stupid and incomprehensible. But if any club is capable of doing it, it's us. Most of us did. I don’t fancy them either but sometimes a club suits the coach and the coach suits the club and staff. I remember Susan Whelan (of all people?) actually communicating to the fans on the radio asking us to trust them, anyone else remember communication?
Popular Post winteriscoming Posted 30 April 2025 Popular Post Posted 30 April 2025 I think we’ll end up with Hassenhutl. He’ll leave Wolfsburg in the summer and we’ll get closer to getting everyone from the Southampton side we beat 9-0. 8
Popular Post Ric Flair Posted 30 April 2025 Popular Post Posted 30 April 2025 The Championship has proven in recent years that overwhelmingly it's the clubs with the biggest budget or the progressive manager that prevails. Whilst Farke, Parker and possibly Wilder lead their clubs to promotion this season, it's the parachute payments as much as their experience. The year before Maresca, McKenna and Martin got promotion with minimal experience so you'd hope we realise that promotion should be more likely than not but only if we get our act together and appointing managers proven to be poor in the PL over a progressive but untested manager wouldn't be laying down the foundations for long term building. At this stage all I want is a manager who will be brave to build a young squad, in particular with a nucleus from our academy and his side play with pace and aggression. 12
LCFCCHRIS Posted 1 May 2025 Posted 1 May 2025 A manager that will focus on work rate, pressing, fast attacking. A bit more chaos. If we get a pass it to death type I’ll probably just tune out. 1 1

daddylonglegs Posted 1 May 2025 Posted 1 May 2025 Wazzer & Gerrard duo for me. If we're gonna fold due to the ineptitude of the ownership we may as well have a laugh doing it.

Outfox the Fox Posted 1 May 2025 Posted 1 May 2025 Strange that nobody here is mentioning Cifuentes. Now West Brom have said they're not interested, I would have thought his, would be a name in the frame for us.

Rudkin would never be able to get his head around around a name like that.
kingfox Posted 1 May 2025 Posted 1 May 2025 He might be flavour of the month because he appeared on MNF, but I have to say, Will Still has to be a very credible option for a number of reasons. This article was written when he was at Reims https://theanalyst.com/2023/11/the-revolution-at-reims-under-will-still I think his style of football would resonate more with our fanbase. Quicker progressive passing, aggressive pressing. Has also been willing to be versatile with formations both at Reims and Lens. He’s also worked with younger squads, when he first stepped into Reims, they had the youngest squad in Ligue 1. When it comes to youth development, targeting managers from certain leagues like France, Belgium, Netherlands, where youth development is key would be a very wise move, looking at managers from those countries, Will Still is probably the most realistic and credible name of the bunch. The only negative I would give is that he loves a dip in form, in both season’s at Reims he had them pushing for Europe, but they fell away in both campaigns. But from a style of play and youth development perspective, he has some credibility in the bank over some of the underwhelming names that are unsurprisingly linked. 3

Would absolutely love him here and feel like he's got a 5+ year stint at a club in him. A builder. 2
