No, partially out of frustration over our zombie board, and partially just because I find the "matchday experience" so cringe inducing.

Obviously I'll go to a few games, and if a nearby away game makes members, but I just can't justify to myself making that trip that many times going forwards.

I know it's not my place to say but the amount of people on here that have renewed is (imo) pathetic. We need to force change

Both can be done in and out of the ground.

Think there’s a decision where people think the answer is either or but it’s actually both.

In what way are you right?

that your routine takes priority over whatever is happening at the club and on the pitch.

Surely no one can enjoy the above right now and no one is deluded enough to think things will get better until major changes happen.

you are prepared to put up with that because of your love for Leicester City and arent there only for good times, through whatever.

I really didnt mean to offend you so apologies :surrender:

Maybe you're right but it feels like people do neither. But if 50% of people didn't renew and not many new people wanted the seats it would send a proper message.

No and no. Said in a different thread, football has lost its shine. And the affinity I had with the club as declined to a point where I no longer care.

Used to be I'd have a ruined weekend by a loss. Recently it's been oh another one! Carry on.

I've had my season ticket for over 10 years, dipped in and out from 2003.

But the football under Brendan bored me. The tactics were dull as dishwater, I didn't enjoy my football any more.

Since then it has got worse and worse, winning last year was boring too, I know this is an odd concept but there was no excitement in it. When we won it was pass pass pass. When we lost it was pass pass pass.

The year we won the league, I guess you could blame for spoiling football, that year and the few years before were great, exciting football, goals. Attacking football where we actually had a go.

Modern football is not for me, possession and stats and VAR have ruined football.

I'm out (for now).

Rodgers’ era can be split into different parts for me and the first part of 19-20 was unbelievable. We produced great football and not just possession for the sake of it at that point.

Renewed for the social aspect, I wouldn’t see lots of mates as often and some I probably wouldn’t see at all.

I’m jaded with the club, the owner, the directors and I’ve wanted them out since 2021 really. If I don’t renew it’s one fewer person in the ground that will protest, jeer and give them shit.

Think the club have got the message recently - heard a couple of stories. But I await with bated breath of them doing some proper work to sort things out.

My take has pretty much been we are nowhere near how toxic this relationship is going to become and any energy rn is slightly futile

I’m sorry but if you’ve renewed you are part of the problem … You have proved them right with their comments recently.

The only way to force change is boycott.

Protesting by not renewing didn't make sense

Nothing to do with protesting.

My son and I have not renewed, my physical support comes to a sad end after 60+ years.

It's not just about the current state of the club it's about the current state of football, well the PL as well.

The ever growing imbalance and with the media's obsession with the 6.

Never being able to build a team as the club is forced to sell to survive.

The treatment of fans with things like forcing electronic ticketing on fans

The focus on here today gone tomorrow fans

The topsy turvy KOs especially the late evening ones as I can no longer get the bus to these.

I could go on but I find myself asking before each match should I bother going and it's a struggle to say yes as I'm not and have not been enjoying going for a while now.

I'll always be interested in how they are doing and will try and watch some games at home but that's it for me.

I eventually decided to renew but these are my thoughts exactly.

If I hadn’t renewed I don’t think I would have ever gone to another game,

the price of a match ticket for me and the Mrs is just too much to justify it.

There goes that lazy sentence again “You’re part of the problem”. Why, because we want to continue supporting a team we’ve

followed for decades? Like said previously, current crop of players and board will be gone long before we stop supporting the team. You want to boycott, do so, I don’t.

It's really sad to read this Davie, I'm sure it wasn't easy but well done for doing so.

There is an article on the beeb that went up in the last day or so about a bloke at Man United, 74 years in the same seat and he's had to give it up.

My 88 year old mum has just called me in a panic because she's missed the deadline to renew by mistake (she's had a ST next to my sister for donkey's years). She pays for her ticket in full up front so it hasn't been automatically renewed. If she calls first thing tomorrow, will she still be able to keep her seat, do you think?

Yes you would like to think so.

To be fairvtge ticket office staff are pretty helpful, just as long as they dont have protocol from above.

Hope she gets it🤞

I know what the answer to this should be, but I also know what the answer is likely to be unfortunately.

Email [email protected] now and explain this. Don't rely on a call to the ticket office.

I messaged, as you suggested, and Jim replied quickly to say he'd look into it first thing in the morning and not to worry. So fingers crossed it will be okay.

Decided not to with a bit of potential financial uncertainty at home, mixed with only being able to make a minority of games.

I'd usually find on balance it was worth keeping, even so, but the club's disgusting treatment of supporters tipped me over the edge. I no longer want to give my time or money to people who despise me and couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge my concerns when I informed them of my cancellation.

It's going to be tough missing out, but ultimately a club who I've followed loyally for more than 30 years have made a decision like this far too easy.

I was a regular season ticket holder from the 00s through to when Covid Struck and a change in personal circumstances I didn’t renew But got to games as much as possible after that.

This last few years has really drained the love of football out of me which considering I was playing at 2/3 times a week and going down city I was an addict.

now family members will message with a spare ticket and I can’t find any motivation to attend even when we were on HMS piss the league, Hopefully sometime soon I can rediscover the warmth it once gave me

I f***ing hate football nowadays, the obscene money, cheating, big club media obsession, slow possesion football which has become the dominant style,  the calculated destruction of atmosphere at grounds and various other stuff mentioned in this and other threads. Its killed any love i had for the game I never watch any other team on sky anymore and next to none of the last 2 international tournaments. This has further been compounded by City's complete collapse in standards and crap treatment of fans over the past 4 years. I should have stopped going a few years back when i moved out of Leicester really but kept going out of habit as going to games with my dad is something we've done since Brian Littles time. I basically left the decision up to him and he made his mind up walking back to the car at half time on Monday night.  I'm sure wel still go to games now and then as Leicester remain our club and always will be but it's a relief to remove the obligation to go. Definitely intend to check out some non league football see if I can get any love for the game back away from all the monied sanitised crap.

36% not renewed would be alarming for me as a Director of a Business. Only a small sample size, but would be a concern if the renewals were around this number.

Reviewing the comments, probably around another 25% only doing it for social reasons to meet with friends and family. The club will be slightly let off thanks to that category of renewals.

The other sad thing for me is compared to going live games watching on TV is an abomination as I like to see the whole pitch to see the context of what is happening, to see the runs off the ball, to see players re-positioning and adapting.

You've also got the editing where they show inconsequential replays, zoomed in views on the last player to try something or who they happen to be talking about all as the game is still going on. You leave it with a throw in and the next time you're back live it's the other end of the pitch and the other team have the ball. It infuriates the hell out of me.

Even with their commentary their continuing obsession with how the 6 are doing even if they're not the teams playing.

So true. Plus they seem to be looking for anyone in the crowd with the remotest claim to celebrity status. You’re then left thinking “who the hell is that”.
