I like the idea of Richard Kone. Would be cheap too as his contract expires in 2026.

Big lad and a pain in the arse to play against but he's also very capable of bringing others into play. Good finisher too.

Reminds me a lot of Ivan Toney when he was making his way through the leagues.

I think a team in the premier league someone like Palace signs him.

Charlie Kelman would be worth it , he’s on loan at Leyton Orient from QPR and has scored 25 goals this season in League One/ and cup competitions, and I imagine , QPR need the money so anything like £5-7m would be worth it imo.

He’s only 23 so is yet to hit his prime.

Would be an immense couple but not unrealistic.

Carrizo has just turned 19 and is starting to get some traction from bigger clubs so would seem very unrealistic. Slap on our refusal to sign many young players from further afield and it becomes an extremely unlikely prospect.

Saw him play a few times for Gillingham and not sure. He was more the type of striker who'd drop into space than a proper focal point which is arguably what we need. Fantastic rerun this season though.

Whatever we do, it should probably be a young player who's a wildcard and then somebody else who is a bit more proven (realise that's near impossible to get in the championship)

This is his first season he’s hit 20 plus goals in the league so yes can see that’s a risk and a gamble to sign someone like him, but I think we need to strike a balance for this campaign coming we do need an experienced forward so if we could get Danny Ings on a 1-2 year contract I think that would be good, plus a young striker in Kelman plus Jake Evans as our third choice striker for this campaign I think that would be decent enough options.

I meant in theory an ambitious Championship club could attract such a player. We won't go anywhere near him 😂

We’re more likely to sign ****ing Andre Ayew, and his dad.

Shuto Machino as Holstein Kiel may get relegated from the Bundesliga.

The type of striker who gets involved in the play and can link up.

Do we seriously expect the club to have the ability to identify a decent player? Hardest and most expensive position to buy for, every club knows we have no strikers and we're tight AF with transfer fees...

The perfect opportunity for us to switch things up.

No more pressing forwards, we need a focal point up top, but still with technically ability into feet.

A more 'traditional' number 9 would be the perfect investment. With Evans as second in line and perhaps someone on loan rotating (Mijatovic on loan at OHL, hopefully that link might help?)

Called Kone on the first day of the season to @Ric Flair after watching him for WYcombe at Wrexham - his goals have dried up a bit with niggly injures but he works really hard

Ric likes Erabi at Hammarby, I'm not so sure on him

It does pain me a little bit to say it, it really does.

But i'm not talking about some big beast clogger....

I think we need someone who can receive it to feet, hold off a defender on their back and pass it to our wingers/10 as those are the positions we are going to be strongest in next year.

Sounds like me asking a laundrette employee for help after struggling to get a washing machine open on holiday in italy....

Depends what sort of football a new manager wants to play :dunno:

I think it's an option we've lacked in the last 5 years, regardless of style of play. There's no reason a big, muscular striker with technical ability can't fit into a variety of styles.
