Must win. If just to finish 18th and gamble on the fact Man City might get a huge points deduction and we stay up 😂

With the number of wing options unavailable and the daunting prospect of watching Ayew waddle around like a constipated duck for 75 minutes again I was going to suggest going to 3 CB’s ,wing backs and two up top. But then I remembered how s**t our full backs, centre backs and second strikers are :D.

Just keep the non trying ones away from the stadium completely, they’ve had their chance, that ship has sailed (or sunk!) keep their toxicity away from the young’uns.

And he waddled away, till the very next game

I think "El Crapico" rolls off the tongue a bit more smoothly  :P

We were really quite lucky to get our win against these earlier in the season, largely thanks to Fatawu who came on and changed the game, scaring the life out of them.  (Oh how we missed him).

Wouldn't it be nice to finally get a clean sheet and score at home?

It's been months, and this lot ARE below us in the league, having flirted with Derby's record levels of shitness all season.

No. With the resources we have available and the way in which they will be deployed by our Manager, as well as our recent form and confidence, sadly, this will be a new low.

It's probably too late but El Crapico is the perfect nomenclature for this shit show? Can the title not be changed?

Do I get a point for nomenclature?🤓

I see the Guardian have referred to it as El Crapico, as well

Quite a good article, apart from the suggestion that Bilal plays for Saints.

It’s so worrying how bad we are. Our team that got promoted was a weak Premier League side, but from that team the folllowing players won’t be playing tomorrow;

Hermanson, Ricardo, Vestergaard, Dewsbury-Hall, Winks, Fatawu, Mavididi

How many players playing tomorrow do we have that are as good as, or better than any of these? El Khannous - that’s about it.

Interesting thought, Do you think the Premiership will just Fine Man City one point less than we need to stay up.

That way they're seen to have acted. While keeping Man City happy and still in the Premiership.

While giving two fingers to us for having the audacity to challenge and expose their failings.

I also think they have the get out of handing Man City a hefty points deduction of say 35 points, safe in the  knowledge none of the bottom 3 are getting close to 30 points, and none of them can complain because Ipswich, us and saints have all been so poor and failed to muster any meaningful challenge to stay in the league.

I see your point!! Its is odd though that the findings of the Man City charges have not been released yet even though they were concluded some months ago.

I’d genuinely rather see a 2-3 Southampton win today with Vardy x2 to get him to 200 than a 0-0 draw

Am I the only one?

Absolutely agree, all I am interested in is Vardy getting to 200 goals and hopefully the introduction of a few academy prospects getting decent game time, doing well and preparing for next season.

If we lose today at least it will bring into focus how badly we've actually been run recently with the wider footballing world.

Will be the ultimate embarrassment for the owner too that might actually force some action.

If we win the "we'll be fine for next season" opinion will just strengthen.

Pick your poison.

If he continues to pick players like Faes, Soumare etc etc that offer nothing for the future then I hope we lose, however if we have a team built around next season and a fair sprinkling of our academy players then absolutely want to see a positive performance and result.
