He took seth Johnson from derby to Leeds back in the day.

 

These are not exact figures but the ones he told us.

 

Seth Leeds want you and I think I can double your money to 16k a week you interested. Yes. So they went to Leeds to talk. This was when Leeds were doing an  us.

 

Leeds chairman opening shot we can only offer you 34k a week. They ummed and arred for a minute. His response ok 36k but that's the final offer.

 

Who does that sound like 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣

Why do people think Rohl would come here for 15/25k per week (his current salary). ??

 

If I was his agent and I knew we had saved an amount of comp then I’d be asking for half of that as a s/o fee

 

he’d not come for less than 35/40k per week which is in line with a lot of our playing staff in the championship.

He’s barely getting paid at all at Wednesday!

I’m sure he thinks we’re saving his career ! (Word is that he’s getting paid ). 

 

also bear in mind that running a sh1tshow as we have for a few years means you have to pay a premium to get a manger in !

Frying pans and fires. Given the state we're in, I wouldn't be surprised if we're discussing wage deferrals by next May.

Another day on Foxestalk of imagined scenarios, simplistic theories and hitting out at anything involving King Power.

 

It's a good laugh speculating and taking comfort from the blame game. The board might be working their socks off to resolve this, equally might be thrashing around in the dark. However, the bottom line is that no one outside of a very small group really know what is going on. 

 

Thay said, I'm also going to be mightily angry If they are even considering Wilder. But that's me speculating when I have no evidence and reason to suspect anything that is evolving from the managerial appointment process. Stay calm.

Ultimately the club only have themselves to blame in that though, with their stance on communication in both towards the fans but also how much the press are getting from them too.

He's about the only staff member getting paid to prevent him walking out for free. Like all footballing staff we probably do pay managers (too) well - I'd expect we'd give him a moderate pay rise.

We're a shit show but that's in relation to where we were 5 years ago. At Wednesday his staff are all free to leave, the already weak squad are jumping ship and they're almost certainly going to be relegated. 

 

Few people have been as critical of the clubs as long as I have but we're just aren't going to be looking at wage deferrals in the short-medium term. Our wage bill has come down substantially and we have parachute payments - plus for Rohl there's a much better chance of career progression (see Maresca), earning more money working with the bones of a a talented squad in a much more stable environment.

I’m sure the bit about you knowing the agent is true but that’s a story that’s done the rounds a lot.

It is reminiscent of every decision this club has made since Covid. Every time you think they can't possibly wait any longer, they magic an extra few weeks out of nowhere. 


No one should be surprised if we enter August without a manager.
