MPH Posted 6 May 2025 Posted 6 May 2025 (edited) THOMAS FRANK wants to splash out on Leicester's £25million-rated keeper Mads Hermansen. The Brentford boss is keen on a move for his fellow Dane, 24, who has been a standout during the Foxes’ disastrous season. its from the Sun though so that’s like a tier 100 source.. That, apparently, is the general fan view of him. It's funny because the stats suggest otherwise (most saves in the Prem this season etc.).

Flekken is arguably the better keeper and not sure Hermansen would leave to be second choice. 1
Popular Post Finnegan Posted 6 May 2025 Popular Post Posted 6 May 2025 If he'd had a full season the way it started, we'd be looking at 30-40m and some of the biggest clubs in Europe having a look. Given his injury and subsequent struggle to come back to form afterwards, plus our relegation and everyone knowing the state of our finances, 25m to a mid table team is probably about right. I can see this sort of move happening. Still bags us a 20m overall profit and more than that in-year after amortisation. Won't be the first, after Barnes and Maddison, to go well below their value because of our situation. 5

He has the most saves in the league and the 5th highest save percentage. He was also the highest rated keeper that plays in England on the CIES football observatory top 100 keepers, for what’s it’s worth. Certainly has been having a good season and linked with a Bayern L recently Also as per the below, Frank like his keeper to go long which is not Mads strong point Edited 6 May 2025 by HankMarvin 1
AKCJ Posted 6 May 2025 Posted 6 May 2025 His last 4 months or so has been fairly crap. I think £25m is a fair price and I also think he'll prove to be a bargain for someone. 1

I'll be sad to see him go, but Stolarczyk's readiness for the first team softens the blow considerably. I'd rather sell Mads than Bilal. He'll go with no hard feelings and I'm sure will always get a good reception from our fans. 2

Certainly has been having a good season and linked with a Bayern L recently Yeah, that's the thing – the data suggests an excellent season. I've just had a bit of a read on the Brentford forum and I think fans who don't rate him, like my mate, are in the minority. Some even say he's better than Raya. They also seem to think he's off to Germany this summer - hence the link to Hermansen. https://griffinpark.org/forums/threads/mark-flekken.140430/page-31 1

I guarantee Bilal's agent has leaked to Tav that nugget about him having a relegation release clause. We'll sell them both for about a combined 50 which will be something like 30m in profit in year. 3
MPH Posted 6 May 2025 Author Posted 6 May 2025 I actually mentioned this as a possible move a few days ago . it would make sense to me that he would be a flekken replacement and flekken was taking a step up somewhere..

You may be right, but I'm a little sceptical about that tweet from Tavolieri. He clearly states that Leicester have 'just set' the release clause for Bilal, which doesn't make any sense - if he has a clause, it will have been set when he signed his contract. If he's not referring to a release clause but merely the amount the club would let him go for, then €26M seems suspiciously low to me. 1
Lambert09 Posted 6 May 2025 Posted 6 May 2025 Brentford are a smart club, if they are interested in mads for 25 it’s because they’ll be getting £35m for Flekken.

Finnegan Posted 6 May 2025 Posted 6 May 2025 Flekken is 31. Hermansen is just starting his career and obviously has a much higher ceiling. 2
Tielemans63 Posted 6 May 2025 Posted 6 May 2025 (edited) If we were to get £25m+, that would probably be a good move for all involved. He'll be significantly better than Flekken in the next 18-24 months imho Edited 6 May 2025 by Tielemans63 1
Muzzy_no7 Posted 6 May 2025 Posted 6 May 2025 Baffling choice if he was to go there with Flekken still being there but apparently Bayer want him so would make sense.
Md9 Posted 6 May 2025 Posted 6 May 2025 Probably not a bad move for him they are getting better every season and will be another stepping stone on the way to a big club. No need to rush has plenty of time to get a mega move if this works out for him

Baffling? With their Danish connections and the fact they’re a billion miles away from where we are now? 1
Foxin_Mad Posted 6 May 2025 Posted 6 May 2025 What a disgrace the leaders of this ****ing club are, it makes me sick a tinpot outfit like Brentford can now steal our players because the complete inept muppets running our club have absolutely no clue how to run a football club absolute ***** everyone of them 1
