Wouldn’t be surprised if Mads ends up staying. Don’t think there are as many serious buyers out there as people are making out

if you limit possible destinations to just the premier league you might be right…

The prem is where the money is tho.  Eliminate Chelsea and Man U where to we sell him that delivers a double digit million fee? And if we don't get that where else to generate funds?

My worry is if we fail to sell Mads our (incoming) transfer business is seriously curtailed

at 24 years old, I’m not so sure Mads is under any pressure to get that 100k a week deal just yet.  He seems level headed and if a champions league club comes in for him from a big European league  I think he’d take it seriously. I’d imagine high level European football would be very appealing  to him.

Think he will go to Spurs with Thomas Frank

They already have a very good keeper mate. Even their new number two showed that he’s decent too.

Ah right, still think he will be off somewhere.

Bournemouth will be rolling in money and need a Kepa replacement.  Kepa is going to Arsenal after finishing his loan from Chelsea, Huijsen went Real. Kerkez to Liverpool. Zabarnyi being linked to PSG.  Big defensive shakeup there.

Chelsea might have favoured Maigan as he's available for their Club World Cup (transfer deadline tonight) but Hermansen is currently injured. Maybe they'll be back in for Mads instead given Maigan unlikely to sign today and will fall through.

They've just balked at £25mil for Maignan, we won't get a decent price from them for Hermansen.

Sky reporting that they were offered Maignan and that's why they went for him, but not actively looking for another keeper so unsure on him going there but Mads will be off that's for certain!

Hermansen is 5 years younger but I do agree we are unlikely to fetch the figure we would have hoped for. Suppose a lot rests on how desperate Man Utd are this summer.

If Brentford/Frank were interested, Frank is about to walk into a club that still don't really have a high quality number one.

Man United must be the clearest option.

A slight concern for me though is that we know how good Mads is, and 1st half of this season he showcased that to the league...but is that enough for a side to go for him now, after being out injured, and then not quite as good once he came back?

Personally I'd love him to stay, but if it's him or Bilal, we have Jakub ready to step up full time between the sticks.

Now clear that he was playing with an injury which likely affected his ability to push off

i dont think any buyer will take the second half of the season into account if they want him but they’ll try and use it in negotiations re the price

I think Vicario is pretty capable, it's their defence that's the issue. Vicario> Mads IMO

Think he ends up at Chelsea or Spurs for approx £40m.

Zero chance actually leaning to him staying but if he does go 15 to 20 mill.

Burnley keeper going for over 30 Million. So to that end Mads is worth over 55 Million easily.

James Trafford is england number one in waiting.

Mads isnt worth £55m.

Chelsea are selling Petrocic so that’s another keeper on the market. Beginning to look like Mads might be passed up…

I think he will be. I think we might want more than prospective buyers are willing to pay. A bit like Bilal. Although we could be lowballed for Mads and still make a profit, I don't think we will.
