Hasn’t he got like 4 years left on his contract? The club won’t sell cheap, is there any likelihood Chelsea offer £20-£30m for a lad that’s barely played mens football? I doubt it.

Would be surprised to see us accept anything less.

2 years, 2027. Therefore probably much less.

Aren’t we known throughout football for being very stubborn in our valuations and difficult to negotiate with?

Rudkin cracking his knuckles as he pulls a masterclass by selling poor trainer and 0 PL experienced Ben Nelson for 30mil and buy PL experienced and leader Tyrone Mings for £25mil.

A profit and and upgrade! Similar to selling KDH and buying Skipp.

I just don't see them paying enough for us to let him go.

He's probably going to be first choice here and not even make the squad there.

If he's switched on he'll have watch how KDH has struggled to play.

Would be the most joyless ever transfer. Would genuinely piss me off more than the KDH one - which was depressing but out of necessity.

Neither fanbase would even be happy with this.

This would be an absolute insult when we've had to watch Faes, Vesty and Coady bungle about all season. Would be absolutely gutting if the silver lining of our youth coming through (Monga, Evans, Nelson) was taken away from us too.

I disagree, I think there’s genuine interest there and a few have long thought Nelson to be our next big sale.. We’ll sell too, how else are we going to extend contracts of underperforming arseholes???

The really miserable part of it. When we take the money as a fix so we can bring in Nathaniel Clyne and Danny Ings.

I  hope you're right mate and we dig are heals in for a large fee.

But the financial running of the club has been far from stella with Teflon's involvement.

Will serve us right for how we've handled his development.

I don’t think we’ve handled it that badly considering he’s done the loans through the leagues and is now wanted by Chelsea at 21. Centre-backs dont often establish thenselves too young.

If they are paying Chelsea fees, I'd expect £25 million at least.

Sources have told ESPN that while a place in the Champions League would clearly be preferable, Maresca will not be under pressure should the club fall short in either that aim or winning their first silverware since 2021.

Would selling Nelson potentially prevent us from selling Bilal?

He's not going to want to play championship football regardless, nor should he be in a World Cup year.

Must be getting close to a vote of confidence.

I told you all in the Nelson thread that the Oxford itk’s were saying he was going to Chelsea

I think this has been in the works

Doubtful as Bilal has a release clause if some meets it we have no choice.

wonder if there’s any chance that we sell him there and loan him back for next season.

he’s probably not ready for them but they’ll get a much better price now given our situation

Or Chelsea have just been scouting him, and nothing is in the works as yet.
