Beggars belief.

I totally accepted the rhetoric that those leaving at 15 minutes to go NEED to leave.

If there's something unavoidable you need to go.

Remarkable really, that it those obligations are suddenly not obligatory.

A cynic would suggest that they ought to be in the ground supporting the team every game rather than for a curio and a free flag.

Can you not enjoy the moment without sniping?

Glad we could win for Vardy on his final appearance and that he could score and have one last glowing moment on the pitch.

Played some good football in the 2nd half as the game opened up.

Jakub gives the ball away so often, distribution is shocking. Gives the ball away needlessly and is as dodgy as they come when pressured, unfortunately we need a lot of players, so will have to do next year i suppose

There are goodbyes in football — and then there’s this.

After 500 appearances and 200 goals, Jamie Vardy bids farewell to Leicester City. But how do you truly say goodbye to a legend? To a man who didn’t just wear the shirt — he became it.

Jamie Vardy didn’t walk into Leicester City — he charged in. Raw, fearless, and electric. From Fleetwood Town to Premier League immortality, he shattered ceilings and expectations alike. He gave us thunderbolts from 30 yards, last-minute winners, and that magical run of 11 straight games with a goal. But more than that, he gave us belief — that with heart, hunger, and a bit of madness, anything is possible.

He played like a man who knew what it meant — because he lived it. He was never just a striker. He was the fire in the press, the grin in the chaos, the spirit that lifted a club and a city to heights we’d only dared to dream.

We watched him become a champion. We watched him lift the FA Cup. We watched him grow older — but never slower in passion, never quieter in his love for Leicester.

Jamie, this isn’t just a goodbye. It’s a love letter. From every fan who sang your name, from every child who wore your number, from every beating heart at the King Power — thank you.

For the goals. For the glory. For giving us the ride of a lifetime.

Whatever comes next, know this:

You didn’t just make history.

You are Leicester’s beating heart. Forever.

Once a Fox, always our Fox.

Goodbye, GOAT. Welcome back any time you want.

I managed to go the entire time in the stadium without shedding a tear. Now I’ve just read that, and I’m sobbing.

I'm calling bullshit BDCR is player of the season

To be fair I think he was probably credited as scoring the last leicester goal in the most match day programmes this season 😉

The atmosphere around the game cannot disguise the fact we are a desperately poor football team. I thought we were dreadful in the first half and only their poor finishing had us in front. Second was better and a nice second goal.

The pre and post match stuff was decent. The PA guy was spectacularly awful but, having feared some really naff output, the flags, the banners and the presentation were ok. Far better than last year's shambles.

I noticed that no Ipswich fans, players or staff were applauding Vardy when he got substituted.

Dunno but felt a bit small time from them tbh. Think a big club would have joined in with it all. Bit tin pot. Dunno if that's just me.

Probably couldn’t wait to fook off home. Another weird fan base singing about a European cup that none of them witnessed them in

I saw a few applauding Vardy being substituted.

And quite a few stayed behind right to the end to applaud Vardy going round the ground.

Not shocked by it really.

He doesnt mean anything to them, neither do his achievements in football.

Its not like hes retiring and will never play again. Id imagine getting beaten by one of only two other totally inept teams in the league kind of takes away willingness for goodwill.

The best team won it.    Disappointed naturally but can't argue the result.      We were ineffective and not for the first time this season let ourselves down, created little and showed clear lack of ambition.      A poor performance from a poor team, end of.

Today was supposed to be a celebration for Vardy and your team and so it proved.      Can't understand why Leicester couldn't have played more often like that throughout the season then you'd be challenging for a Euro qualifying position again instead of joining us back in a lower league.      Today you were up for it, it were a big occasion, Vardy wanted to sign off in style in front of a home support and you raised your game and we were deservedly beaten.      Can understand why the player chose today instead of final fixture, he wants to end his career somewhere where he's admired and honoured, not at a rivals ground or in front of someone else's home support.

Sorry if little or no Town fans seemed or wanted to applaud Vardy for his contributions to the game, we're not being disrespectful it's just that we have our own problems and focus to attend to.       Would any Foxes fans of any age take a moment to celebrate Paul Mariner, Alan Brazil or Ted Phillips for what they gave to the game.    Probably not.     It's not disrespect, just two teams for example with their own objectives and player focus.        You could put that into practice anywhere throughout the leagues.

I wonder if fans of both clubs really expect an instant return to top level next season after the one just endured.   Don't know about you but have to answer truthfully no.    Can't have a season as poor as that and hope to come straight back, it just doesn't work like that.

The one that was nice to see yesterday was the class of Ricardo. I know we all know he has that ability, but when he’s had such a poor year with injuries seeing him come on and make it look so easy is class.

Well, in a total cluster**** of a season, the club did the right thing by showing the presentation and Vardy's goodbye online. Had more than a lump in my throat watching that. I don't think we'll ever see the like of Jamie again and this simply won't be the same club without him.

Thank you isn't enough.

Amazed they didn't try to put it behind a £10 paywall to be honest

We’ll both be there or thereabouts next year, the gulf is massive.

Yep, people point to how poor our season and Ipswich's have been, but we've got more points than Burnley did last season. Sheffield Utd finished their Prem season on 16 points, but were comfortably 3rd this season.

Luton very much the anomaly rather than a sign of what to expect.

Rewatched it today, we really didn’t play well. Neither did Ipswich.

Should have no bearing on Ruud’s position.

Hope next weekend is his last.
