Newcastle and Man City would blow everybody out of the water, agents would have a field day, whilst erratic or incompetent owners would be allowed to risk limitless long term financial damage. Imagine if we’d been allowed to spend in the summer of 2022? More crap like Daka, Soumare, Vestergaard, Kristiansen and Tete would only have deepened our problems in the long run, especially once King Power ran into their financial problems, and probably not kept us up. PSR does favour the big clubs, and that needs to be softened, but it also rewards smart operators, which we are absolutely not. PSR/P & S was brought in to protect clubs from getting into financial difficulties, explain how it has help Morecombe, Sheff W and Bury? Its designed to maintain a cartel, to stop another Man City. It's not fit for purpose. Agents are already having a field day! Edited 25 August 2025 by coolhandfox 5
katieakita Posted 25 August 2025 Posted 25 August 2025 For saying no panel has found us guilty we have certainly had a hell of a punishment. We may have broken rules some in retrospect but so have the PL and EFL in handling this. Two very costly relegations and asset stripping has been a hell of a blow certainly compared to penalties handed down to others. The failure to address this in a timely manner does not help us at all and the failure to hold other clubs to account has also punished us. The owners have made plenty of mistakes as have plenty of other owners but hopefully this gets resolved sooner than later and we get treated fairly. Not sure the PL or EPL will be looking forward to Nick De Marco putting our derfence across, with my Post Office glasses on i cannot help thinking of more cover ups, smoke and mirrors and more deflection covering up others mistakes and failure to deal with all clubs fairly. 2 2

When is this going to be announced? Two weeks into the season and nothing..We are selling and not buying. Are they going to.wait until we have 4 players in the squad before hitting us. What a load of old rubbish these rules are. Man ure were supposedly running out ofoneu in October yet after sacking a few catering staff they can afford about 200 million! 1

Lambert09 Posted 25 August 2025 Posted 25 August 2025 Feels like we are getting in order until you realise we’ve lost about 15-20m in revenue from the shirt sponsor fiasco

One season without sponsorship in the championship is more likely to be around a 2-5m loss not 15-20m

That’s wild considering we were getting 40m in the prem supposedly. if king power can’t pay that to sponsor they are absolutely stuffed

Popular Post stu Posted 26 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 26 August 2025 Arguably the biggest news in this is that we should satisfy PSR for this season and that’s before any transfer for Kristiansen and possibly Faes and Winks etc. If that is true there should be no reason for any talk of a transfer embargo any time soon despite claims here otherwise. 8
Scotch Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 If Dorsetts tweet is accurate and we HAVE covered PSR before selling Bilal, imagine what actually having a sponsor would do for us... 1
Swarles Barkley Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 Does meeting PSR mean we have money to spend though? 2
Buzzell Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 Is Rudkin now an absolute genius or is he still a twat?

If we are breaching PSR by that point we will be asked to submit a business plan then and potentially be placed under a transfer embargo. This is what they tried to do last time we were in the Championship, but as proven they didn’t have the authority to enforce it. They now do. So if Rob is correct and we don’t spend a splurge of money, without any further outgoings we should be ok from the risk of an embargo being enforced for 25/26 in January. Obviously, this is aside of any points deductions for 23/24 or and possible charges if we have breached for 24/25. Edited 26 August 2025 by stu 1
