Me too but for different reasons. While at college, my daughter had the opportunity to visit Ghana and help with an orphanage or something. It was self funding so she did all the sponsored things, raised a decent amount of money but still fell short. 

 

I contacted the club and asked if Jeff would be interested in helping out. The player liaison guy, John someone, emailed and asked how much she needed. It wasn't an insignificant amount but I won't go into details. I said we would appreciate any amount to help out. 

 

I then got an email saying Jeff was happy to pay the remainder and asking for my bank details. 

 

So Jeff will always be a legend to me, not just for that FA Cup winner at White Hart Lane.

I think you've taken my post the wrong way. It's totally against taking another player in his 30's.

 

Didn't rate him when he was here before. Just a headless chicken with pace.

 

Wasn't it Nugent that had to tell him why they were celebrating at the end of the Sunderland game. If I remember correctly.
