Does anyone know how he’s performed for Celtic? Has he actually still got the legs?

where’s our regular Bhoy? He could shine some light

Doesn't he have a kid who still lives over this way?

Tbf it has been too long since i've seen a footballer sprint out of play with ball at his feet whilst still oblivious to all of it.

Could be worth it for the lols

I don't know if you're joking or not but there are a plethora of established Premier League left backs that are all paid less than 30-40k per week and who are all better than Schlupp.

Rico Henry, Milos Kerkez, Lewis Hall, Miles Lewis-Skelly (he's 18 tbf), Rayan Ait-Nouri, Patrick Dorgu, Leif Davis. All paid less than £40k a week.

30k a week should be what we pay to our top end signings this summer. I don't think people realise how stupid and out of control our wage bill is. We shouldn't be paying more than that for a lad that struggles for games at Celtic.

Chucking 40 grand a week at a player like Schlupp would be laughable and symptomatic of how badly we have been run over the last 4/5 seasons.  I get that his ability to cover multiple positions is good but our squad is so bloated with shit that we don't need him.

30K a week would literally make him one of our lowest earners.

Thomas is on the same.

Hamza is on more.

Most of the players you listed are on considerably more, apart from Henry.

The backup left back should be one of our lowest earners if we were a Premier League team.

Our wage bill is a joke. It needs to be about a third of what it currently is and even then it'd be one of the highest in the division.

for the right wages him coming in as a back up left back and providing cover on the wing and even in CM could be a decent signing

Something like this must have gone down:

Top: Jon, I've been catching up on some old emails, and we need to talk about the squad for next season. I have message from Ruud, and someone called [email protected], and they say we need some more players for "the upcoming season" whenever that was. The list says they need: A new striker, a new CM, a new winger and a new full back. And the email from finance says the budget is ..... zero pounds. Plus, the deactivated guy says he would really, really really like it if they were Premier League experienced, preferably at Crystal Palace. Do you you have any ideas?

Rudkin: I think I might be about to solve all our problems, all in one go, for a meagre 80 grand a week for the next 3 years.

Top: I knew I could trust you, Jon. I'll go back to sleep now, wake me up when we are playing one of those fancy big 6 teams again.

Focus on getting younger players in first. No time for sentiment anymore and we have to go back to what worked for us to get ahead of the game again. If we sign a few youngsters and then go for Schlupp I wouldn't mind, but I'm fearful we'll blow our budget on 'experienced' PL players that come with a hefty fee before actually getting a decent squad to compete at  Championship level, and to claw back potential points deducted...

Don’t you think we have enough youngsters? Monga, Fatawu, Bilal, Evans, McAteer, Nelson, Alves, Braybrooke, Stolarczyk, Thomas (to a degree!)

If we moved on BCDR, Kristiansen, Soumare, Daka, Vestergaard, Coady, Faes, Ward and Iversen I wouldn't be against it.

Or just a few olds BDCR, Vestergaard and Ward. I think we could still balance up the average age with the number off younguns we have, and still take on a couple of old heads, now Vards has gone too

If we do this I'm officially quitting. I'll go join @Daggers at Kettering before I pay money to watch Jeff Schlupp lining up alongside Jordan Ayew and BDCR in a Leicester shirt.

Given what's happened at Kettering today you'd probably want to avoid there!

Yeah they're decent. I suspect Bilal will sadly be sold.

As much as I like him it's another 30+ year old 'PL experienced' player. We need to stop bringing in these sorts of players.

Agreed. We never learn it’s embarrassing

Edouard looked like Pele up there and hes dog shite. Would take how a player does in the SPL with a pinch of salt

I'm not so sure as the fee will have to be quite high to make a PSR profit or there is no point in us selling and I don't think he's shown enough for another team to pay that

Even if it doesn't make PSR profit I think he will be a target for mid-table PL teams.

So while there may be no point in us selling, it might be down to the player wanting to leave especially if a PL club comes in for him.

When it comes down to it, we want players that want to stick it out with us.

I'd rather lose Hermansen than Bilal, but fear we will be losing both...

if we can't at least break even it would cost us in PSR terms to sell him, I suppose there could be a loan deal but we aren't selling for a PSR loss
