I’ve just been going through all the on-line comments regarding Stuart (Tw)Attwell following Fridays game. The thing I keep seeing from fans  is “ He should never be allowed to referee a Utd game again”. They can point to a specific chain of incidents which have lead to this over multiple games and seasons so I get it.
However I wish they’d go further, remove their own club bias and say for the sake of football he should not referee ANY matches.

The arrogance to suggest your club can pick and choose the officials and the arrogance to say it’s OK for everyone else to suffer him?

They feel there is a unique bias and evidence of a pattern so in that context refereeing non Utd games competently and safely may be within his capability.
But this is not the case, (not) forgetting the one off incident where he awarded  a goal for a shot that had gone in through the side netting (something that has only ever previously occurred when a History teacher covered for a P.E. Teacher on a school playing field), the comments from multiple managers that games refereed by him are unsafe for the players and the fact his bewildering decision making once triggered a fluctuating heart rhythm in me that lead to me having to sit in the concourse for 20 minutes while it settled down, his performances time and time again have been shocking. Is there really a system of ongoing assessment?

But because Utd are affected the media are now interested. Let him referee other games? When people are paying £40-£70 a ticket and instead of a football match they get a farce? That’s OK is it Utd fans? Where players safety is risked, not to mention mine? Just stop letting him affect the outcomes of football matches and get rid once and for all. He’s no longer in his fast tracked development phase, he’s not going to change, it’s 2026 and he’s still incompetent.

And don’t get me started on Bobby “referees badly” Madley! :frusty:

Feeling very torn about this one.

Typically I'd want Forest to lose but having lived down south for 20 years and surrounded by Spurs fans, I'd absolutely PMSL if they got releagated.

A draw would be perfect here, but is reliant on Wet Spam doing the business. I've given up on Burnley ever turning up and Wolves have left it too late.

I havent watched the premier league this season until now. Do they just not put pressure on any more? Stood still passing waiting for a ball over the top then everyone starts playing.

In an ideal world they'd both lose though... Hold me at gunpoint and I'm always going to choose Forest to go down, historical levels of Spursiness be damned

The PL is currently the pits. Has been for a while

Playing out from the back

Possesion for possessions sake football

VAR

Sorry Pep but you’ve sucked the life out of our game here.

I don’t necessarily blame Pep, he’s done it to a high standard, it’s all the Pep wannabes trying to replicate the passing game with players who aren’t capable.

I think things are probably coming to their natural conclusion for Howe and Newcastle.

He doesn’t want to work with DOF’s, he doesn’t manage the squad well enough (they’re all ****ing done in from Feb onwards) and the more recent players he’s actively asked for haven’t pulled up any trees.

Id imagine a season without a substantial cup run, out of Europe and potentially not finishing top 8 might finish him off.

Hes had a good run at it and will walk into another good job if he were to be sacked.

8-0 to Spurs is the perfect result.

Absolutely! I’d imagine he’s rather gutted Tuchel signed that new contract!

Get through the first half, let the crowd lose some enthusiasm and then smash Spurs in the 2nd half. Looks like i'm well in the minority but I'd much rather see Spurs drop than Forest lol

Couldn't really care less about the prem at the minute, just think it would be quite funny for totnum to go down. Wouldn't mind a notts and a ham win, notts will go down again anyway and I'm completely indifferent to The Hammers.
