Carrick really hasn't done a lot either. Pushed Fernandes up to where he can dictate play in the final 3rd rather than halfway, and then played their exciting wingers as wingers rather than labouring them with predominantly defensive roles

Villa quite hampered with injuries though arn't they? Not that, that gets away from the fact they lost to 10 men. But then Palace couldnt get the win against Forest who were down to 10 for over 1 half. Mind you Palace are shite.

Not the worst bench I’ve have ever seen tbh.  Brentford did defend really well today, but you would have expected a team in Villa’s position to have least got the equaliser, not that I am complaining! 😁   Ross Barkley

You can see how the change in European format has benefitted the Premier League clubs. Tottenham have been garbage in the league for two years yet won one European trophy and are doing well in another.

Remember when they were proposing a supporters group with a drum, but the drummer was only allowed to drum for a certain length of time.
