Andy is off  ( note no title whatsoever )

going ……going ……soon to be gone !

no doubt weighed in for the spend on the lodge and he’ll relocate to the gulf or somewhere equally obscure.

Probably won't been seen out and about too often but if he is spotted somewhere and folk shout, 'Mr. Windsor, Mr. Windsor, he'll be well pi$$Ed off.

I was going to put Royally pi$$Ed off, but not now.

And if me or you did that? We'd be fined and have to sue the letting agents to get our fine money back?

No we wouldn't unless the property we let was a shithole.  That is the point of these licenses and the powers they give the council.

Who was former prime minister who virginia  Giuffre wouldn't name?

She didn't even say what country he was from.  According to Google around 85 countries use the title.  I think unlikely it was a UK one.  I strongly suspect it would have come out by now if one of ours was connected to Epstein.

Poor bloke. Going to be a shock to vacate Windsor for that utter dive Sandringham.

I think he will be devastated to be honest.  He obviously holds himself in very high regard and feels this is all most unfair.  So for him it will be a huge shock even though most people would of course feel whatever part of Sandringham estate he ends up living in will be too much.

It's an interesting point, and I think it is to do with the fact that most people don't have an issue with asylum seekers who come through proper channels.  They do have an issue with those arriving illegally by boat, the vast majority of whom are clearly young men looking for work.  They then have more of an issue at these young men being 1) unable to work while the government takes years to process their claims, 2) put up in hotels in large numbers, and then 3) hang around and cause trouble as young men do when bored and in groups (recognising the trouble oftem looks for them).  Unfortunately, there are plenty who are too stupid to see that the government is responsible for all of that apart from the arrival in the first place, and in fact are also largely to blame for failing to stop that as well.  So they blame the migrants instead.

Do you know if there are any official or believable statistics to substantiate your claim that most illegal entrants by boat are young men seeking employment?  I've noted people frequently making this claim but have never seen a verifiable information source quoted.

It would appear odd to me if true.  Surely it's well enough known by now that immigrants are not allowed to work until they have been assessed as genuine asylum seekers, and that that process is very lengthy and far from certain it will give the outcome they need.

We certainly know they are mostly male, and mostly adult male.  We know roughly half (so far) are eventually granted asylum, and in the meantime they are housed, clothed and fed by the taxpayer.  Anecdotally, a lot are working illegally too, supporting rideshare etc industries.

Since January 2018, three-quarters (75%) of small boat arrivals have been adult males aged 18 and over. Almost one-sixth (16%) of detected small boat arrivals have been children aged 17 and under. These proportions have generally been similar each year; however, in the first 6 months of 2025, only 10% of detected small boat arrivals were children.

She campaigned for it as highlighted and It's her responsibility for licencing  so a) it's unlawful and b) it's hypocritical for her to be dealt with any differently - I hope her tenant reclaims the money they've paid

Ministers are supposed to operate to the very highest standards.

Make your own mind up but she's either incompetent or bent or both

Starmer will keep her on for another 6 / 12 months and then get rid of her as the economy goes down the Karzi as I predicted - What a charlatan

She should be treated exactly the same as anyone else who has instructed a reputable agent to do the work and who didn’t actually do it.

Silly twerp still thinks that a woman can have a Penis. Someone needs to turn him off and back on again.

Taking that as rote for a moment...

I wonder if that bloke needs to be turned off and on again, what exactly needs to be done with other blokes involved in the democratic political process that either infer or flat out state that entire demographics of people are at best second class citizens and at worst subhuman, and are clearly willing to let the future burn for the sake of their own gain in the present?

She's Chancellor the Exchequer and can't even sort out a licence, which she knew about and campaigned for - No excuses

If the tenant applies it will be a rent repayment order rather than a fine. So no criminal record, just the £30k or so to repay.

Depressing facts time.

At this moment in time, 53.3% of the people in the UK lived in households that receive more in benefits than they pay.

The top 10% of income taxpayers earned 35.1% of total income but paid 60.2% of all income tax, the salary to get into the top 10% is £71,600 or more annually.

The people appearing in the 1% of taxpayers in the UK is estimated to be around 310,000 people, who need to earn £160,000 or more to qualify.

The top 10% of earners in the UK are part of a broader group where the top 25% (earn more than £47,400) of income taxpayers pay 89% of all income taxes.

Stolen from another forum. Are Labour going to go after those who are earning more than 47k a year?

The first line the 53% is ridiculous as well, it's got to come crashing down soon, it can't carry on as it is.

Given all the other penalties, it seems a bit of an anomaly that Andrew retains 8th place in the royal order of succession - unless parliament rules otherwise.

It's highly unlikely he'd ever succeed, but parliament surely should remove that right, in the circumstances?

Interesting that Harry still holds 5th place, too. Again, he's highly unlikely to ever succeed, but it's not entirely impossible, as William and his 3 kids (1st-4th in line) spend a lot of time together.

Car crash, terrorist attack....not that I'm planning to arrange any such event....though Harry, as King over the water, might want to consider it (echoes of Richard III)...

Tbh if somebody has the get up and go to make their way across two seas on dinghies and across Europe, with almost no means of help, they deserve a job. That's the sort of gumption and effort we need in our labour force.
