Pro-Dyche or Anti-Dyche?

I actually like Dyche, but hes just not the fit for us atm, 

and the fact hes "good friends" with our DOF isnt a good sign at all

I'm not anti-Dyche, if he comes in I'll support him, but not the best option available imo and it will be a stark reminder, if we needed any, of how far we have fallen.

This... and also further evidence that those in charge have no clue about the ethos of football they want the club to play. From Enzo, to Cooper, to Ruud then to Dyche shows no plan whatsoever. They really are hit and hope and living on past success, which legitimately can be questioned as to being based on luck, rather than sound football knowledge and well thought out plans.

The issue is I don't see him as a long term option. I think he would get us promoted but then the issue is we're in the same situation as the season just gone.

 

He's a better manager than Van Nistelrooy though.

I want Rohl as he has more upward trajectory and will play a more exciting brand of football but I won't be crying myself to sleep if we get Dyche, I think he would still give us a good chance of promotion likewise so would Rohl.

My biggest worry about Dyche is that our most promising and talented group of players are our wingers. Monga, Evans, Alves, Fatawu, Mavididi. What Dyche team has played with wingers who drive forward, cut inside and take on defenders? He tends to prefer the Dwight McNeil type who rely on defensive work, crosses and safe passes backwards. What happens to the development of all those players when the very thing that makes them exciting is coached out of them?

I'm somewhere in the middle leaning anti. I think my main gripe is the general strategy coming from the top which sees us move from Rodgers & Maresca to Cooper & Dyche which shows no consistency. 

 

I don't think Dyche would even be that bad, it's just such an uncreative appointment.

Since when have we looked abroad ? now we don't have a pot to piss in you think we are going to look abroad ? let's at least be realistic

If what they're doing has put ourselves into a position where we don't have a pot to piss in then yes, I would expect us to change our approach. Obviously that won't happen here though where everything else is the problem and we're in the right.

Your future with Dyche assuming he can get us promoted is lower league stagnation or more relegation. I'd sooner take a risk and see some exciting attacking football occasionally hitting the high spots even if it means we continue to yoyo, that is more in the Leicester style. I'm not a fan of the 'Coventry' ( 25 years or so fighting against relegation) style stagnation in the lower half of the league.

Think you can make the same argument for a young upcoming manager though, we give them a chance and they flourish then they get headhunted for a bigger job and leave us like Enzo and we're in the same position, if i believed in the board to have contigency plans with if they get poached we want X manager because of style of play, age etc etc then i would agree completely but this board have proven they are incapable of doing that.The reason im pro Dyche is that if he is successful atleast we can have a few years of stability to then hopefully be in a position where its not a rebuild job but there is a foundation there we can build on. 

 

Just my 2 cents, as i wanted Rohl but when you actually think about the appointment its so so risky especially with this board.
