The last Macquarie loan was secured against parachute payment and potential 26/27 and 27/28 prem tv money payments. So it must have been sizeable.

The one before that was secured against last seasons TV money.

We have spent neither of those sums on incoming players.

We've also raised around £70m in player sales so far this summer.

Wake. The. ****. Up

Yup, it’s very clear that we are selling players to clear loans and make ourselves financially viable again.

You can’t criticise the action because without it this club is 100% in huge shit if we don’t go up , but you should absolutely go for the throat on the cause because it means we won’t compete.

Perhaps its just sour grapes from some but he is very good and very young.

Palace are a really well run operation with a recent history of improving players, I think he will do well there. He's a huge loss to us, but if he doesn't want to be here which it sounds like then at least weve got fair money for him...assuming we are reinvesting it or some of it.

This squad was already weaker than the one we had in the championship last time and we are diluting it further.

With a number of players practically in open mutiny and points deduction pending. Cifuentes doesn’t have a chance of top 6.

The silence from the club is absolutely deafening. If there was to be even a hint that there would be some reinvestment of the 60 million that's come in, you'd be prepared to cut them some slack...everything that was great about us has been slowly dismantled leaving a pub team, a club that has no clue about building a relationship with the fans, a soon to be half empty stadium and a (rightly) hacked off fanbase. Depressing.

Notice how Crystal Palace are going after El Khannouss and not 20 g+a Josh Brownhill who many of our fans cream their pants over.

Ability over numbers/experience every day of the week.

The huge worry I have is that we will cash in on BEK and get further income from the likes of Faes, Soumare or Fatawu....and then Rudkin spaffs most of it in this window on the equivalents of Skipp, Coulibaly, BDC, Coady, Souttar etc.

On what evidence do you think we're reinvesting any of it?

I don't think there has been one credible report of us putting a bid in for a player this season, let alone coming close to signing one and we have 10 days left of the window. Our biggest rumour was Kone and do you think he'd join QPR if we were genuinely interested?

To be honest, it wouldn't surprise me if it turned out we've taken a transfer ban and the club never communicated it to the fans.

I'd personally *far* rather go all in on our young players, rather than invest another penny on overpaid journeymen

Sounds like it will complete once Eze signs for Spurs.

Also fair play to Palace - what a novelty - a club that is well run & organised, that makes sure they have replacements lined up for when they lose players, negotiates well, makes sure things happen on their terms. Highlights even more the utter and complete incompetence and general buffoonery of Top and Rudders.

If he wants out, it's a decent fee.

If we can reinvest 15m to 25m in the squad I'm at peace with it.

If we don't I'd be disappointed we let him go.

They also know how to conduct outward business.

They sell us Ayew and loan fee for Edwoud to weaken our on field play and finances.

Sorry, I meant fair money on the assumption if it allows us to reinvest. If we arent allowed to re invest then we might aswell of held out for more, as there was no rush to sell to find a non existent replacement and he would be more of an asset to us trying to help us, even if he was mardy for a few weeks.

But yes agree with everything you've said Im not confident we actually will do anything

I just hope we re-invest. There’s areas all over the pitch that require attention. And after this we will still need a number 10.

I think even if it does, the club aren't doing anything this summer. I just wanted a rant, sorry that you were caught in the crossfire!

Yes and no. Still think the ownership c**k up costing them the Europa League will sting

100%. If selling assets and not spending means the club's future is more secure (and means that we're less likely to suffer points deductions, or worse, in the future) and we'd have to rely on our youngsters, then I'd be absolutely fine with that.

This won't move as fast as people hope/think.

Eze still training perfectly well with Palace this morning.

Palace have reportedly agreed the deal with us....but that's as far as it's gone, apparently. They are said to be looking at other options, aswell.

Palace will most probably play Eze on Thursday in the Europe game.

Can see this rolling into the weekend, easy.

Its unfair to put Souttar in with these *****.

Hes a decent defender especially at this level, he was excellent at Shef Utd, never fancied by our idiot managers because he wasnt tippy tappy bollox enough but he is comfortably the best actual defender at the club.

It sounds like BEK is their back-up option if they can't get Dibling.

Let’s not paint this up as a positive. Good deal for palace and another negative shift from us. Already weak squad is now weaker with not trust, communication, plan or strategy, down further we go. Deadwood all still here, all the poison still here draining the life from this club!

Agree, he has to start when fully fit.

Hmmm

all in fee over 30m could mean 25 + add ons that are never realised …

certainly would only gives us 8m leeway re psr

hopefully we get some clarity via the agents as to what the fee actually is (we won’t via the club)
